| You have to wait and see how it goes. Maybe not the first days after school start again the schools need a substitute teacher. But I'm sure the schools need you.
You are subbing for one year now. Did you like it, teaching the kids at school? does the teacher you have to cover gives you what you have to learn the class?

| I do like substituting. If I did not, I would not have returned this year.
Each teacher that I fill in for must have a lesson plan for me. If not, then I ask for assistance from the school administration. If they do not supply a lesson plan, then the kids will pretty much get a free day and I'll be their babysitter. That's about all I can do. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| Are you working as an emergency substitue (ie you are not a certified/college trained educator)? We have the "emergency substitute" teacher deal here but you have to have a bachelors degree (in anything) to be able to do it. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| None of our subs have to be certified. If they need someone for a longer period, they will hire an interim teacher that is certified. In TN, as long as you pass the drug test and have a high school diploma, you can be a sub. You get paid a bit more if you have some college, but not a lot more. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Again a subbing question. Do you have to give all lessons at school? Like mathematics, chemistry, physics, gymnastics?
Today we brought my sister to the airport. I will miss her and the day she left always is a difficult day. We have had a very good time. She has spend a lot of time with our mom. You never know how mom's situation is the next time when she will come.

Like mathematics, chemistry, physics, gymnastics? I have done all of those, actually. Whatever the teacher teaches is what I do when I substitute for them. The teachers usually leave some sort of work for the kids. If I do not know how to answer any questions, I just refer them to their books. That usually makes a kid mad because they want someone to do the stuff for them rather than look it up and read it for themselves.

| Still more subbing questions.
When you are going to a school for subbing, you have the classes that teacher has that day? You only give for example English to the classes that teacher has that day?

| You have to cover the classes for that teacher. However, on your free period, you can be asked by the school to cover another class during that time.

| Started the summer off working tons of overtime but now that that is over I just got back from a trip to New Mexico. Much cooler climate in comparison to Phoenix- the weather was right around 90 degree each day as opposed to the 110 we are used to at this time of the year in Arizona. It kind of amazed me how the New Mexico locals were complaining about "how hot it is".
Now that I am back it is time to re-focus on Angelic Warlord and crank out some new reviews! Need to also get back involved in the weekly men's Bible study held each Wednesday evening at church.

| Man you crazy South-Westerners and your weather. 90 degrees is never cool in the Pacific Northwest. It reached 88 here last week and we were seriously hurtin'. What were you doing in New Mexico, fun stuff or was it for work? _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I usually head to New Mexico in the summer or early fall to escape some of the heat here in Arizona. Albuquerque is home to a lot antique malls and flea markets that are fun to explore.
When I lived in Portland and it got above 90 it could really be uncomfortable- I lived in a 3rd floor apartment with no air conditioning.

When I got out of school yesterday, it was a cool 99 degrees here in Tennessee. Bride knew what they were singing when they said, "It's hot down south tonight"!

It used to be only the "rich" people had air-conditioning up here in Washington and Oregon. But more and more people are buying those little window model a/c units. The Staybrite family still does not have a/c. But you can bet if we lived in the South or the Southwest we most certainly would. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... | In the UK we don't need air conditioning. We just need a brolly!
I couldn't stand it being really hot - give me a cold winter sun anyday!!!

But you can bet if we lived in the South or the Southwest we most certainly would. We usually have a few people in the area that die from the heat each year. Two or three years ago, when the Wilson Co. Fair was in full swing, they had 2 people die just at that event from the heat. I can't remember the year, but I do remember playing at the fair with Drumdude and his family. It was 106 degrees while we were setting up and doing the soundcheck.

| When we lived in N.C. I remember hearing about a few people dying from the heat each year (seemed more common for it to be the elderly). _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."
