Ever since the first Alvin and the Chipmunks movie came out a few years ago, there's been a big trend to "chimpunkize" various popular songs. Apparently even Skillet isn't safe from this treatment...

While cute, these are definitely not authorized Chipmunk releases. For those, the music is always rerecorded, and then the Chipmunk vocals are added through a process of speeding up and reprocessing the voices. With these Skillet tunes, even the music has that sped up/reprocessed sound.

Thanks for the explaning how they get those voices. It's funny, but I prefer the original Skillet voices.

I know none of these are "authorized". There are tons of "chipmunk" versions of songs (Flyleaf, KJ-52, Chris Tomlin - you name it...). Just thought it was funny that Skillet has been "chipmunk-ized" now.
