I only know of 2 FCS within a 30+ mile radius here, and we don't have any other Christian book/gift/music stores at all.

We have several Lifeway Christian Stores around my area. But, the Southern Baptists are still the largest denomination around here, so I guess it's kind of natural for their stores to be dominant here.

I bought the CD tonight at Lifeway for only $7.99. I used my minister's discount and got an additional 10% off.
I haven't quite finished the CD, but what I have heard sounds awesome.

I just downloaded the album from Amazon. Great stuff, great price. I can't believe that JesusFreakHideout.com panned this album. I don't even think it sounds much like Flyleaf, it also has a much rougher edge than Fireflight. I think JFH was in a bad mood or something.

Pretty much if it's a more radio friendly band like The Letter Black, they hate it. If a band isn't trying to do something overly artsy or doing something incredibly heavy, they hate it.
Anymore, if JFH hates it, then I'm probably gonna love it.

I agree. I like the trade-off between the girl and the guy. Sorry, but Lacey Mosley's screaming gets on my nerves. And Dawn's vocals IMO are bland. Pawned my Flyleaf and Fireflight a while back.

On the newest Flyleaf album, Lacey did not do any screaming. I think the two songs she did with Third Day really taught her a few things.

We'll just agree to disagree here. I actually like her voice. I also do find the vocalists for Fireflight and The Letter Black to be very similar.

I got curious and looked up the author of that review to see what he was like, and it turns out its an 18yr old kid who enjoys music such as Reliant K, Anberlin, and Switchfoot. They're all really good bands, but definitely note even close to the same genre as The Letter Black. My guess is he was assigned this album and just isn't used to this kind of music and couldn't get into it as much as we could.

I did too, but TLB definately has a heavier vibe overall.

Well that might explain it, might have been better if they got a Skillet/Flyleaf kind of fan to review it.

This is a cool song. I downloaded it as well as their "Hanging on by a thread...original version" album. The cd's are not available in my city. I may order the "breaking the silence album" since its not available on amazon for download.

I'm looking for their first album. Before they called themselves "The Letter Black" they used to be called "Breaking The Silence" and they put out an independent album titled "Break" back in 2007.
Anyone have this? Since I'm almost certain this is OOP I would certainly be happy with the MP3 files if anyone has them.

I have it. Unlike many bands releasing an indie album and then being signed, NONE of the songs from their Breaking The Silence days appears on their The Letter Black album. So, you're getting all new songs that were also produced by Travis Wyrick. The indie album is just as good as the label release.
I'll try to get this up for everyone if they want it.
