| I was waiting for a gift day instead of buying it. Gift day=a day where someone gives you a gift (anniversary, birthday, Christmas). My wife got me this book, The Bride Collecter by Dekker, and Erin Healy's debut solo book. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

Ok I haven't read either of those yet, so sounds like you will easily get ahead of me again. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

Good tome. Have you checked out Ms. Healy's solo premiere, Never Let You Go? I'm reading John Grisham's The Partner, and combing through Frank Peretti's The Oath. |

Ditto, the notes on the back say this book was published "posthumously". I didn't know Crichton had died. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I just finish "The Bride Collector" by Ted Dekker. I wasn't bad but I'm getting a little tired of his "serial killer" stories. This is at least the 3rd one he has written. If it writes another I just might give it a pass. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Next up for TD will be Immanuel's Veins. Definitely a departure from this serial-killer thing, thank goodness. You can only repeat that formula for so long until it becomes boring and redundant. |

| I haven't done a lot of reading this summer. With all the camps and stuff, I didn't have much time.
I did finish the Ted Dekker book. Now, I have started a new one:

| Definitely vampires intertwined with biblical backgrounds. It's definitely not a copycat of the Twilight stuff--that's for sure.
I have read the first two but not the third.

| Finished Field of Blood-excellent read, though a bit of a slow starter.Yeah, Staybrite- it is vampires, but definitely NOT the pop culture variety! Mr. Wilson has a fascinating twist on those blood-suckin' rascals, and even though I grew up on the old stuff, the library is gonna have some trouble gettin' these books back. |

| Just finished 'Haunt of Jackals' by Eric Wilson, part 2 of the Jerusalem's Undead Trilogy. I'll start part 3, 'Valley of Bones' tomorrow. An excellent tale, and you can be sure I'll be looking for more of Mr. Wilson's work-great writer! |
