| I've just preordered the new CD. I know it's out in a couple of days (21st) so I could have just waited until the release date, but as it's one of the few albums I'll be buying this year I thought I'd go ahead and order it as a pre-order.
The samples sound great, a cross between Reborn and In God We Trust, with a splattering of Against The Law.

| I am very much looking forward to this D. But, I won't be home when my CD arrives. I did get the chance to get these songs from a friend to put on my Zune. But, I don't feel bad about it since I DO have the CD ordered.
As for Fundy's assessment of the disc, it is pretty spot on. I don't hear the references to "Against the Law", though. I do agree that this sounds very much like a cross between "Reborn" and "In God We Trust". _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| I went into a local Wal Mart where I'm visiting. I saw that they had the new Our Lady Peace album (mainstream rock). The funny thing is that cd is supposed to be released on July 21 the same day as MBP. So I call up there to see if they have MBP out, no luck. All well, Tuesdays almost here | |

| Walmart has gotten into legal hot water before by releasing stuff before their actual date. Disney has taken them to court a few times over that. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

I've encountered the same thing before at a local Christian bookstore. They had put out the new Disciple CD a week before it was supposed to come out. When I asked the manager how they already had it in stock she seemed surprised that it wasn't supposed to be out yet and said they tend to get the CDs in stock a little earlyand that somebody probably just started there and they didn't know about the street release date. I don't know if it was the same kind of situation at Wal-Mart though.

| They didn't have it my Best Buy (also checked 3 other stores incl. Walmart). I think I have given up on finding any good Christian music at stores in Western Washington. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Ok I finally found a copy at a different WalMart in a nearby town, since it was only $9 I picked up the latest Seventh Day Slumber disc (which was also only $9). Now I'm happy. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| My copy arrived from Amazon today. This is one cd that actually lives up to the pre-release hype. It has great solos, and Michael brings back the screams everybody loves. One of my favorites from 2009. | |

| I'm really digging this album. I definately like it much better than Reborn (not that I hated Reborn, it just wasn't what I wanted from the band). So far I gotta say this is a fantastic album, nice blend of old and new. Definately a keeper. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I still think that people would not have bagged on "Reborn" if you had just had more solos. This new disc sounds like a cross to "In God We Trust" and "Reborn" in my ears. Just the solos and screams have been brought back.

| I agree with that (for the most part). Some of the vocal melodies (or maybe just the vocals) on Reborn make me want to skip a few of the songs on Reborn, but definately not so with MBP _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I have listened to MBP about a dozen time over the past 5 days or so and I must say that it is probably one of my favorite Stryper albums. I really like the blend of old and new and I think they did a great job on this album not sounding like a Michael Sweet solo album (one complaint I have heard about Reborn). Personally, I really like Reborn, but Murder by Pride blows it away in my opinion. | |

| Definitly better than Reborn. Althou Reborn did have one of the best Stryper songs, "When Did I See You Cry" Although not written by Michael Sweet I think it was the best song on the album and a top 10 Stryper song for me. | |

| I have really gotten to know this album now, and I have to agree with nazpastor. This album may become one of my favorite Stryper records. When I first listened to it, the metal power of songs like the title track and Peace of Mind was the thing I liked most. But as I've really digested this album, I find now that my favorite songs are actually some of the slower ones like I Believe, Run In You, and Love Is Why (which form a wonderful back-to-back-to-back). The only song that still really does little for me is The Plan. But I really like nearly every other track, and I like them all a lot! Right now, this is probably at #3 or so on my list. With repeated listens, it may move up to #2 or even...#1. It's that good IMO. I can't wait to hear some of these songs live. | |

| I've only listened to the album twice, and I agree that it is heads and tails above Reborn. I might end up actually liking it even better than ATL or IGWT. It really is a fantastic album. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."
