The question is: does anyone really want them?

Even for blues albums, these are really out there. Not my cup of tea at all.

I got my hands on a compilation album called "The Glory of Rock Vol 1&2" which had a LOT of bands I had never heard of before. Also on the CD was a song listed as by Dale Thompson called Grenade, although I couldn't find it on any of his albums (solo or bride). But it definitely wasn't anything like Dale Thompson and the Kentucky Cadillacs. It actually sounded more like Bride than anything else. Perhaps its a song he wrote and never released? I don't know. But the comp album is pretty sweet. A few of the recognizable ones on there are Stricken, Eternal Ryte, and Orphan Project.

Grenade was actually a song from Liberty 'n' Justice. Very much like a Bride song, though.

Of Dale's solo albums, I think the Kentucky Cadillacs is stellar. The rest is kind of hit or miss... mostly miss, IMO.

Dale's done 5 solo albums.........

Speak Into The Machine - Great artwork, strange songs. Not really my cup of tea, but still he's got a great voice

The Religious Overtones - Another strange album, but better (not acoustic like the last one). Tracks 8 - 11 are really good.

Testimony - A good southern gospel album. Some tracks are superb.

Acoustic Daylight - Similar in many ways to Speak Into The Machine, but this one has more memorable songs.

Unbridled - Possibly the best of the bunch. Still has a strange feel to it, but it's more accesible than some of the more obscure albums.

Dale's solo stuff is not really my cup of the too.

Now we talk about solo stuff of members of a band.
Are there more members of bands who started a solo career?
I know Scott Wenzel of Whitecross released some solo albums.
Michael Sweet released solo albums too.

Didn't Jonathan Pagono (sp?) from Novella put out a few solo albums as well.

I guess you could also consider Ken Tamplin a solo artist who used to be a member of Shout, but it seems his solo stuff probably overshadows the Shout material.

Jonathan Pagano did have two solo albums, Shadowdance and Push. I have had Shadowdance, for quite a while, and am waiting on Push. I finally found it for a decent price.
