| WOW! I just listened to a bit of the new Nailpoint on their myspace and was completely blown away! This might very well break my top 3! I love his voice. It really compliments the hard hitting metal riffsvery nicely. Im definitely buying this one. | |

| Yes the new Nailpoint is very good. Top Notch rock. Plus it was produced by Guardian's Tony Palacios. Any fan of good hard rock music should pick this one up. Does not dissapoint. Standout songs are "Close Your Eyes" and "Angels OVer You". Not one weak song on the album | |

| How many songs are on the new CD? I loved Nailpoint's previous disc, and the songs online for this one sound killer! Also, if you like Nailpoint's new stuff, you should check out the band Wisdom's Call on Soul Joy Records. There are a lot of similarities. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| There are 10 songs in all on the Nailpoint CD. 2 ballads and 8 rockers. It's well worth it. I don't think you'll be dissapointed. Basically if you enjoy Skillet,Disciple, etc then this is for you | |

I went to their website and got to counting the songs on their music player from the new disc and counted 10. I've already ordered it! Plus, I listened to all of the songs, so I KNOW I am gonna love this. I think someone just got bumped off my favorites list for 2008. Nailpoint (formerly known as Nailpoint Payment) is making it difficult to make my favorites list this year! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| All you have to do is order this! Actually, I am going to have a time really ranking my favorites this year. Listing them here won't be too bad as we are a multicultured set of music fans. Except for one or two, I don't know anyone here that would classify as metal purists. But, my list will also be posted at the CMR. I'm sure I'll get blasted by a few for my choices, but they are my favorites. Putting them into order is what is hard. I can easily name off the top 3 or 4 just based on number of listens. The more I listen is usually indicative of how much I truly enjoy something. There are 3 CDs that have been in heavy rotation for me since their release that will take the three top slots most likely. But, who goes in after those? That's where it gets tough--especially when we're taking into consideration all of the rock styles I like.

| Nailpoint samples Wisdoms Call samples Check out the Wisdoms Call & Nailpoint samples so you get an idea how both bands sound. Both band are on my "wishlist" to order in 2009. My list for 2008 is just like a yoyo. I have made a top 3 .... so I need to rank 7 other CDs to make a top 10. It's a personal list. Not a list you have to make to please others. That's why I only post my lists here and not on CMR. One makes only a secular top 10 or a hip hop list or ... a polka top 10 . Well we make a top 10 of the bests CDs in our tastes. I hope people really can accept we all love music, but have different tastes in music. First there's no one of all the CMR members interested in what my top 10 of 2008 is. | |

I already have Wisdom's Call and the Nailpoint got ordered last night before I went to bed! Both will be considered as potential favorites. I still won't make my list out for a while yet, but here are some names that will appear on it--in NO particular order: Letter 7 Disciple Decemberadio Menchen Fireflight Eowyn Third Day This Fire's Embrace Wisdom's Call Stricken Also, I want to consider Eden's Way (already stated earlier in thread) and Nailpoint.

| OK, I was finally able to make my list. Some of the artists I knew would survive the cuts are here. A couple I thought would make it simply fell off due to there being other discs that I liked more. I based my selections solely on how much these CDs keep finding their way into my stereo and also play on my MP3 player. I think that some would have fared better had they not come out so late in the year ( Eden's Way & Nailpoint) and me having more time to get acquainted with them. Also, Kutless made the list simply because their newest grew on me with time. I still think it's lighter than their previous efforts, but it is a good listen.
OK, without further adieu, Alldat's 15 Favorites of 2008:
1. Disciple - Southern Hospitality 2. Stricken - Stricken 3. Letter 7 - Follow The Light 4. Decemberadio - Satisfied 5. Menchen - Red Rock 6. Eden's Way - IV 7. Third Day - Revelation 8. Eowyn - Silent Screams 9. Fireflight - Unbreakable 10. Seventh Power - Dominion & Power 11. Driver - Sons Of Thunder 12. Wisdom's Call - Divine Exchange 13. His Witness -Kingdom Come 14. Since October - This Is My Heart 15. Kutless - To Live Like You're Alive _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| Favorites lists are cool regardless of who posts them. I got a copy from the band for review so am uncertain how to difficult it is to obtain. But it is well worth the effort to find- a terrific combination of metal and hard rock with groove, funk and blues overtones. - Quote :

I am not a fan of straightforward thrash but enjoy melodic thrash/speed metal along the lines of Deliverance and Temple Of Blood. "Overlord" is an excellent album musically- and it is not just all thrash in that the band adds a doom based track. But all the songs stand out- catchy but heavy at the same time.

| It appears I actually have in some form about 50 albums from 2008 with a few notable exceptions (Wisdom's Call and Eden's Way) so it shouldn't be hard to pick a top 20% from that, but it's the time factor. Some I haven't even listened to yet. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

I'll do my best to come up with a list this week and my next show will be it. I can almost guarantee some of them you will have either not heard or heard of. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."
