| Wow, these guys could give Stryken a run for their money in hairspray and eyeliner alone. Check them out at their myspace site.

| I've heard these guys before on MySpace. Not bad for the times. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I would like to hear some more of their stuff. It definately has that cheesy early to mid-80s glam sound (and their photos are hilarious). The production sounds rather thin, I wonder if someone could convince them to rerecord. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| What a "beauties" are the members of Spectra. Their music sounds good. It reminds me a lot of Stryper. Did Spectra only released only the two song demo in 1985 and the cassette or CD in 1986? Maybe there's more Spectra stuff to find? | |

| Really liked the first song, had a great feel to it. I'd think about buying a CD if it were released with similar songs on it!

| I wish that they would get this stuff remastered and reissued by Retroactive.

| I like it. My son wonders why that girl has a mustache. I don't care what he thinks, these guys rocked. I can't believe they did not get signed. I bought a lot of albums that were not nearly this good. |

What is odd, is that for the hair metal genre you didn't see many guys with both long hair and a moustache. I wonder if he drove a camero? And I agree, back in the day I bought several albums that were not as good as these guys. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I decided to look through some old back issues of "White Throne" in my collection and find the above posted review of the old Spectra demo. Pretty cool, huh?
BTW, I can hardly believe the demo only cost $2. I wonder what it is worth now?

| Thanks for sharing that, Andy. They seemed to have quite a bit of potential, and it's sad that they didn't do any more stuff than those two songs. Maybe Retroactive could stick 3 or 4 demo albums from different bands like Spectra (AND JUDAH PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) on one album and sell it? When you already look rather feminine, that would not be the best statement to make on your promo package, would it? _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| That is way cool Andy thanks for sharing that.
Interesting to see someone else immediately thought of the Stryken comparison too.
BTW Fundy I like your idea, I would definately buy it too. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

Same here. Way back in the day, "White Throne" magazine put out a fundraiser tape called "White Metal Invasion" that included one track from all the top unsigned Christian metal bands from the era (Soldier, Apostle, etc). That is one tape that needs to be re-issued on CD.

| Howdy All, Just stumbled on this old thread. I dont know if any of you are still connected to this but this is Bob aka Bobby Crunch Lead guitar player for Spectra the "girl" on the left l in the picture above. It was cool to see there was still some interest in the band and music. I just recently remastered the original two song demo and was considering putting the songs up on itunes. Hit me up if there is any interest or questions about the band. | |

Remaster all your old demos and put them out for us! I'd love to hear all the old material, Bobby! You might want to talk to Bill Roxx from Roxx Productions or Matt Hunt from Retroactive Records about doing a professional release. Both of those companies specialize in bringing old bands' material out for the fans. The releases are usually short run as far as total numbers go. Look them up on Facebook and see what you can get going! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/
