I survived the youth retreat!  We are home!

Now, I can't wait to focus my energy on the new church and finishing my CD.

It's great that you were able to have a point of transition from the old position to the new.  I'm excited for you having this new opportunity.  I've never heard you preach, but I know your heart for God and for serving God's people, so they are going to be very blessed to have you.

After a couple years of shortening battery life and increasing lag on my iPhone 5, I finally moved up a bit to an iPhone SE that I got off Kijiji (idk if you have it in the States, but it's sort of a classier Craigslist). It's the same body as my old phone, so my thick OtterBox from my 5 fits well, except that I can't use Touch ID. However, it's much quicker, since it has the internals from a newer phone. I'm happy.

That's pretty interesting about Kijiji.  Never had heard of it before.

I know Craigslist better by Weird Al's Doors spoof than anything else. "An open letter to the snotty barista... I was on a phone call... with my mother."

I can put away my ark building materials, the rains are stopping.

Mrs Staybrite and I went to our local state fair yesterday.  It is only about 8 miles from our house, so we go most years.  This was likely the first time we have gone without a child in 25 years (or more).  It was fun, and we actually got to go sit in the beer garden for a bit and rest our old tired feet.

Something really goofy just happened to this thread.
I went to post a reply to Alldat's post (from earlier today) and I got a really strange message about "this post doesn't exist".  I backed out of the page and my post was still waiting for me to "send".  I posted my response, the page went wacky again, and I noticed the thread had been locked.  I unlocked it, but now it appears that several weeks of posts are missing.
I have never seen anything like this happen before.

Sometimes when a thread gets too long, Forumotion automatically ends it and starts a new one.  I think it's usually 50 pages maybe, and this one's only 40 so I dunno...  But it could have something to do with that.

I'm pretty certain that's what happened....and it was in the middle of my post replying to something Alldat said.  I'm going to lock this one and let it slowly scroll off the page so we don't endless have multiple versions of the same thread.
