Dude, getting a "likeness" is so hard. For any one portrait I drew, there were about 5 or 6 I crumpled up and threw away... some people are naturals, that's one area that is VERY hard for me.

I know it won't be easy, but I would still love to get to that level even if it takes years.  I would just love to know I had that level of skill.

Regardless, if I can get good enough to at least paint scenes that I like or have in my imagination, then that would be okay.  I will be satisfied with that.

It was for a congregation weekend.

I really like the last one!  Good use of color, and while you do notice the flowers, the emphasis is definitely on the cross & crown of thorns.  Just like Christ's death, it is both beautiful and horrible.  It shows both extremes of the events of the passion week.  Very well done!  You get an A+ on this exam!

Beautiful work Vonnie ! Your creations are a blessing to many people at your church.

Flower arranging is not easy... I know, I've done it many times. Whenever I buy my wife flowers, I like to pick my own colors and arrange them the way I want to, rather than just buy something behind glass.
I've learned a lot over the years, but it takes a real talent to do what you do Vonnie. Very good work indeed !

I agree with this completely. It's simple, but powerful.

I think it helps to make more koalahs.

Koalah one has a good head.
But the head of koalah two looks more real.

For some reason the face on the second koala does appear to be more realistic (at least in the scan). I'm happy to see you flexing your creative muscle.

I think you meant to type pandah.   

And the plural rendering of that would be pandahz.  We can create our own language.  We can compete with the official Klingon dictionary!  This could be huge if we could get it into something like Star Wars.
