The band, not the yearly concert event.

I don't think I have heard much chatter about this band?
They are a blues based rock/hard rock band that got heavier with their final album (almost kind of a biker rock sound, with some southern rock influence). I first heard them from a compilation disc ApoFreak made for me.

I just got a copy of their "Dust" album and I must say I am pleasently surpirsed. What I found more than a little odd is that this band is actually from Sweden! Certainly not a sound found in many (if any) other Scandanavian bands.

They put out 3 albums

Dust - 1993
Flying Gasoline - 1995
Jesus Rides Harley Too - 1998

The last album is available at CDBaby, you can go to the site and check out the sound samples.

Actually, there was some chatter about them on the old board several years ago. I heard some of their "Dust" CD, but cannot remember where. I found a cheap used copy at Blastbeats and swooped down on it so fast it would make your hair fall off. (Whoops....Staybrite's already did!) Anyway, I absolutely loved it! I found "Jesus Rides Harley Too" at CD Baby not long after and ordered it.

It took me a while to track down "Flying Gasoline". I finally found a used copy in AUSTRALIA and ordered it. I got it in 3 days! I was impressed! But, after searching for about 8 months, I was just happy to have it.

Cornerstone would be best described as a cross musically between Rez and the Georgia Satellites. Their first two albums are definitely more Christ focused. Their third disc becomes more mainstream and harder to tell what they are singing about. But, the message, albeit light, is there.

Overall, I like 'em!

I recall listening to the song "Jesus Rides Harley Too" off an old HM compilation from years and years ago (I believe from the late 90s). However, I was never able to find the CD- until now. Time to place an order at CD Baby...

I got all three. They're pretty good, I dig them. The reason I originally got their albums was someone reviewed them as sounding like Motorhead (who I loved in my BC days), however, I never heard a resemblance.

I'm liking these samples. There is another group out there that does a blues metal style similar to Red Sea. As I remember the CD was ridiculously hard to find. Does anyone remember what it was?

I definately would not have compare them to Motorhead. Actually if someone had made that comparison to me it would have steered me away. Glad they didn't because I'm really digging this.
Now I gotta add the rest of their catalog to my ever growing "wants" list.

Cornerstone sounds very good.

I can remeber the chatter we've had about Ledfoot at the old board.
Gary has send me some samples of Ledfoot and I really like Ledfoot.
It's cool some bands play blues.

It was Ledfoot. Any chance someone could get me the disc via mp3? I would really appreciate it.

I can, but it will be a while. I have too many other irons in the fire right now.
