Dumb Question of the Week #2

Ok gang tell us what is your favorite breakfast cereal!

Or maybe you don't ever eat cereal and have something else you typically like for breakfast...well share it with us.

Here's my favorite (and it doesn't seem to be popular with anyone else in my family. Most people complain that it tastes like gravel but I love it!

I seldom eat cereals for breakfast.
Sometimes I eat musli with yogurt.

Great question! I will have to ask the next person who tells me that.

Mine has always been Cocoa Pebbles/ Krispies.

These days I like the big three : Original Cheerios, Corn flakes, and Rice Krispies (I can't pick a favorite out of those three .)
But when I was a kid, I was all about the Cocoa Krispies and the Cap'n Crunch...
Kinda makes me feel nostalgic about a certain Newsboys song...

I don't eat a lot of cereal. I eat Pop Tarts a lot.

A little bit of background…

My grandpa was the kind of guy who buys a lot of stuff in advance, when it's on sale. He liked breakfast cereal, and that goes on sale kind of frequently. Therefore, he had boxes and boxes of Shreddies and Raisin Bran. I say had, because he passed away over a year ago, and we're still trying to run through all that cereal…

Also, from childhood, I have liked Cheerios.

Therefore, my favourite breakfast cereal has become Shreddies, with Cheerios a close second.

Shreddies?

From the little bit of information I dug up, Shreddies is sold in the UK and Canada.



Looks almost like the American version of Corn/Rice Chex.

Yeah when I was a kid I never would have eaten Grape-nuts, I was a big fan of Cookie Crisps and Peanut Butter Captain Crunch.

Well it certainly seems rather banal compared to discourse on transubstantiation. But it is more entertaining than a discussion about ways to remove dog dung from your shoes.
So I guess "dumb" would be a relative term...generally warning people not to expect any grand intellectual discussion in this thread.

I don't know if I have a single favorite as I tend to go back and forth thru a few all the time. I have a few from Malt O' Meal. My freaquents are...

Blueberry Muffin Tops
Honey Nut Scooters
Oat Blenders w/Honey and Almonds
Strawberry Cream Mini Spooners
Blueberry Mini Spooners

Aside from those I also like Life Cereal Maple Brown Sugar.

I like the Oat blenders too, good stuff.

I used to mix cheerios and corn flakes...

I also like my crispix and shredded wheat with some honey..

love some CORN POPS!!!

It has always been Fruit Loops with nothing else even a close second.

Like some others here, I seldom eat cereal, even though I love it. Being home only 1-2 days per week, I can't keep milk on hand as most of it goes to ruin.

With that said, the most perfect breakfast food is BACON! Of course it is perfect for every meal. If I were going to eat cereal, I would go first for Frosted Flakes. A close second would be Cap'n Crunch Crunch Berries, even though that stuff will eat away the roof of your mouth. After that, I would go for Cocoa Krispies or Raisin Bran.

Well I hope you people are happy. All this talk about cereal and I just HAD to go get some. I got a box of Frosted Flakes and a bag of generic Cocoa Krispies.

You need to get some of the stuff they use to call "milk" in the army. It came in single serving cartons and tasted kind of like milk...only it didn't need refridgeration and lasted for years.

Straight from the box! I take them on the road with me to work, so just eating them at room temperature is the best.

When I was a kid I used to toast them and put butter on them....mmmm sugar AND fat!

What is wrong with you people? Cereal is supposed to be magical and fun and have unicorns with laser horns!

Anyway, for me - Cap'n Crunch, regular, crunch berries and peanut butter, and Sugar Smacks.

I still have Peanutbutter Cap'n Crunch on occassion (assuming I can get to the box before my boys lay waste to it)
