I'm sure there are no Larnelle Harris fans here at the Hard Music mecca... but you gotta see this video anyways. I remember seeing it back in '93 on Z-TV and loved it. (at about 1:05 is where us Headbangers will laugh !)

I dig the video, it's making fun of at a lot of the cliche stuff done in videos/movies during the 80's and 90's

Not a bad song either imo. Larnelle's a very talented singer for his genre.

Funny video! Larnelle has a great voice, but that's definitely not my style. I'll gladly take that nice black sports car later in the video though!
As far as traditional gospel goes, I'll take stuff like this any day:

One time I had just gotten to school when that song came on the radio (our local Christian station occasionally plays stuff like this for no apparent reason). I got the strangest looks from people when I rolled down the windows and cranked it up! Nothing like a white guy driving around blasting Kirk Franklin

Kirk is really cool... I plan to someday delve into some of his albums. I only have a couple songs on compilations, but what I DO have, I like.

I'm only familiar with two of his songs ("Stomp!" and "Revolution"), plus his collaboration with TobyMac on Toby's first album back in 2001 ("J-Train"), but he does seem to be a great artist with loads of talent.

I set my DVR to record 4 separate Christian video shows (reruns of old 90s early 2000s music video shows) and one of them I watched had 3 Kirk videos in a row. While I think he's very talented and actually liked much of what I heard... it's not really my thing, I don't think I could get into it too much. But he is pretty cool !
