| For months, I have tried to connect a wireless router to our existing DSL service with no success. I have tried several routers and spent untold hours on the phone with some little dude in India or Pakistan and still was never able to get our laptop online.
So, I called AT&T again last week. I'm getting a new modem that comes with a small wireless adapter for the laptop. Took several minutes for the install since they give you almost no instructions. But, my wife and I can both surf the web at the same time! Awesome! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Great you are able to use the laptop too. Aart has a laptop too and we use his laptop when we are on vacation. With the UMTS card it's possible to acces the internet. - Quote :

| The DSL really won't give us the ability to take the laptop on vacations as it has to be within range of the router/modem.
