Starting with the end of May, I go to Woodland Park, Colorado (8400+ ft above sea level, where I live is 50+ft..lol) for my son's wedding...and I wind up with severe elevation sickness and have to go to the ER.
Then my next to last day there I get food poisoning from a local restaurant.
I come home and get a severe case of bronchitis. Two weeks to recover...at least mostly recover.
My son and his new bride come back from their honeymoon in Paris and my son gives both his wife and myself covid (he got sick the last day there). Now I am out for a week from work (covid still sucks, even if not as dangerous as before)
THEN when they get back to Tulsa, they find out that someone broke into their mailbox and one of the items they stole was their marriage license.
You can't make this crap up

You have definitely been having your patience tested and tried!

Oh man what a terrible run of events! Praying you will recover from covid quickly and that it won't be too much trouble for the kids to get another copy of their marriage license.

It seems that way. But seeing my son get married balances it out

Thank you, SB.
My poor son feels so bad for getting me sick with COVID, he keeps saying that he knew he should have stayed at a hotel during the 3 day layover in Delaware.
I have reassured him that I wouldn't change anything..I knew the risks going into picking them up and having them stay with me since he was sick. I wasn't about to let my son stay in some hotel, sick, when he could be under my roof and my care. He'll understand one day when he has a kid.

Wow, surprised to hear it took you this long to get covid! I caught it from my wife about a year and half ago, and it kicked my butt for 3 or 4 days for sure. I had a lingering cough (rattle in my chest) that took another month (or more) to shake. Still praying for you to recover and get walking a full hour again.

And apparently now I have diabetes too.
Man, I just want to hide under a rock somewhere until it's all over

Oh no that's not cool at all!!! Praying you have the type that you can control with diet and not have to take insulin.

She's going to put me on medicine to help lower my A1C, but I do not have to go on insulin right now.
If I can knock my A1C down by two points she said I can get reclassified back to pre-diabetic instead of diabetic.
My concern about the new medicine is the fact it lowers your blood pressure also and I'm also already on blood pressure medicine. My blood pressure has always been borderline, I even took myself off blood pressure medicine for a good amount of time without any issues. I've had issues in the past where the BP medicine has dropped my BP too low, so this is a concern for me

Oh yeah you really have to watch your blood pressure. I've had borderline hypertension for just over a decade. I've been on blood pressure medication most of that time. It's gotten so bad I have a slightly enlarged heart (I really need to lose some weight).

Oh that sucks. Sorry to hear that.
Yeah, weight is a big thing. I am trying to lose weight now. I'm down like 10 pounds but want to lose about 20-30 more if possible. The first 10 is easy..it's the rest that is hard as crap

Seems that I've gotten rid of the Rona virus, but it left me with a nasty sinus infection (at least I'm used to those). I still can't make it through the entire day without being a little tired, but I'll take that over those nasty body aches and flu-like symptoms.

Glad to hear you are improving. Yeah, it takes a little time to fully recover.
