I hear Christmas music so much at work that I haven't even played my own collection(s) yet. My big list is 820 songs of everything all thrown together. My "traditional" list (that gets played around my parents and grandparents, LOL) is 290. I have a mellow list of 13 songs, and a "hard music" set of 122. "Hard music" for me (as it pertains to Christmas, which is not quite the same as generally) is any metal, any punk, or hard/glam/grunge/shock rock. This is where being obsessive with categorizing my music is helpful.

I've been listening to Stairways christmas songs. My most favourite one from them is It's Christmas Time...

I'm not much of a Christmas music fan, but I actually really like Stairway's new Christmas tune "Tricky Nicky" (I know Fundy's heard it already, what about the rest of you?)

We were going to see them last year but even the crummy seats were too expensive for our taste.

I tried to listen to their CDs but couldn't get into them. We won tickets a couple of years ago and we sold them.

I can't say that I HATE concept albums. I just don't feel that most of them really do enough to tell the story so that I can understand the concept other than to grab other people's cash!
I like Queensryche's Operation: Mindcrime album. Without reading all of the liner notes, however, the songs together never really seemed to tell a story to me, or at least I wasn't able to decipher it. Most concept albums are like that.
