Copied from the band's Facebook:
Dear, Friends - It's with a heavy heart we share that we lost our beloved, Michael Bloodgood at 8:15am Central this morning. After a gallant fight that began with a severe hemorrhagic stroke in February 2022 he's gone home to be with our Heavenly Father.
We'll cherish Michael's generous spirit, off-beat sense of humor, and musical soul. His devotion to the Lord and sharing of the Gospel through his ministry as a pastor and musician touched countless lives. Our hearts go out to his family and friends during this unimaginable time. He is survived by his cherished wife of 46 years, Marilyn, three sons, and two grandchildren.

I am so sad to read this. I was actually listening to some Bloodgood last night, and chatting to my wife about his health issues.
It's our loss and heaven's gain. Completely shocked and saddened.

It is sad for us as fans and especially his family and friends.
It also reminds me that this ride is gonna get a lot rockier for each of us before it gets better.

Incredibly sad for us as fans and more so for his family. But has Fundy said, our loss is heaven's gain. I had been a bit surprised over the last several months to hear that he had been improving so much. Kind of makes his turn to the fatal even harder to hear.
