I played that this morning and now am listening to Bloodgood "All Stand Together" and will follow it up with " Dangerously Close".

Both of the Cell 9 albums. Not familiar with Cell 9? They are the band that was formerly known as Veni Domine. As their sound changed, so did the band name. It is kind of a mix of modern rock, doom metal, and classic metal. The singer sings now in a lower register. I dig it, and the message is up front!

Calvário - Ixoye
Some pretty cool heavy/doom metal out of Brazil. This album was allegedly the first Christian metal album to ever be released in Brazil.

I'm really digging the raw under-produced sound of the music... but not a big fan of the vocals. Not sure what style the artist was going for, but it sounds really cool and much grittier than a lot of the metal music in the early 90's.

Yeah the vocals are quite atypical indeed and an acquired taste... but there's some neat stuff instrumentally and compositionally to my ears. I look forward to digging deeper into this one. Also, the vocals vary quite a bit and aren't consistently that higher-pitch screechy type (I'm not sure how far you got into the album).

The last full album I actually listened to was the first "Legend" album from Saviour Machine. I mostly listen to whatever Spotify wants to play for me right now (I started out listening to Broken Silence and have let it keep playing related music since then - I've heard everything from Sweet Comfort Band and Glenn Kaiser to All For The King, Vengeance Rising, Horde and Deuteronomium). My new car doesn't hae a CD player in it and my laptop doesn't have a CD drive so YouTube and Spotify are mostly what I use for music right now (and it's more convenient to just let Spotiy pick up where it let off than to tell it to play a specific album when I'm in the car)

All four of The Seventh Power releases.
Yes, I have been on a bit of a Bill Menchen kick lately. I wish we could get him to saddle up and make some new music.

I really want him to record something with either the vocalist he had for the last Titanic album, or the guy who sang on the first two Menchen albums. If he doesn't want to write anything new he could re-record some older tracks (from Redeemer or Rev Seven or Titanic) and have one or both of those guys sing. That would be really cool. He is a fantastic song-writer and an amazing guitarist.

Faith - Decades Of Despair
Excellent folky epic doom from Sweden! Rumor has it they're working on a new album too - which is fantastic news because IMO each album of theirs is better than the previous.
