Yes 2022 is upon us and I want to know if anything exciting is coming out this year. So what are you looking forward to? New albums or reissues. Any rumors on bands working on new material?
The Brave have hinted that they are working on new material Fear Not is supposed to be working on finishing what I hope will be a full length album.
So what else is coming in 2022? Will we see new music from Joshua's Creed, Evans & Stokes, or Big Chris & DBBB? There have been hints of a new Lordchain Praise album/EP (featuring Alldat on bass), so I certainly hope to see that soon. What are you looking forward to?

Joshua's Creed has 4 songs to complete. The vocals on 1 are done and just needs leads. 2 more need vocals and leads and 1 more just needs leads.
Now that the holidays are over, we just might see some more progress.

Need to pick up the Flood album and am hoping The Brave get one out that's as good as the last one. I just couldn't get into the Fear Not album, I think I expect it to sound like old Fear Not and it doesn't.

That is promising news!

I try to think of them as Fear Not 2.0 (pretty much a totally different band...yet with most of the original members). I dig the EP on it's own merits... but it doesn't sound like Fear Not to me.

The Brave Bride Stryper Saint Lordchain Rose Probably get a new Chaotic Resemblance album as they posted they would be in Nashville for 11 days. I bet that's studio time.

Well it looks like Retroactive is doing Saint remasters yet again.... I did see on their page "Broad Is The Gate" and "Hell Blade". They are jewel cases instead of digpacks/cardboard sleeves. And they have been remastered (but probably didn't need to be). Also available on vinyl for the first time. Also "Desperate Night" is being reissued on CD and vinyl.
They also come with the collector's card.
Since I already have these I see no need to get them again. Would rather get a new album.
But if you missed them the first time around now is your chance to get it with a jewel case. I think Hell Blade was out of print and unavailable.
Edit: Also "Warriors Of The Son" on vinyl and CD (original version) are also being released.

Do you really think Randy will be done this year?

Oh yes, I gotta get that one too. Not sure if I should wait for the CD or just download it.

I'm done buying Saint reissues. I think the reissue of The Mark/The Revelation re-mix & remaster was certainly worth getting. As well as Crime Scene Earth 2.0 (with Josh singing all the tracks instead of Rich on some). But other than that it seems a little ridiculous to keep re-mastering and re-issuing all their albums.

I really want to hear all of this when it's done. I liked the original release of this album, but it really sounded like it was missing something.

I hope so for his sake. As far as doing crowdfunding, I think he has lost all credibility as he cannot deliver on time. We've seen with now with TWO Rose projects and the MATW reunion disc. If he doesn't get it out this year, I am going to ask for my money back as I pledged a higher tier to get the CD and the demo CD as well. Three years is more than long enough.

I don't know if there will be another Big Chris & D'BBB album this year or ever. While I felt the second one really brought my desired sound to life, it was my poorest received project yet. I have an entire box of CDs simply laying around. Digital sales were horrible, too.
Most of what I am writing is classic rock or metal. If I release anything this year, I hope it would be with my band. We are writing and hoping to release something in the future. I don't know how long that will be, but that is our goal.

I’ll be frank: I didn’t get into the C&DBBB stuff at all. I enjoy Mission of One, especially the Show Me The Way album. Work with DJ of Letter 7 on some solos and do another melodic hard rock/metal album!

This reminds me... What is David Benson up to these days? Is he still releasing music? I was never really a fan of his stuff anyway and I know he would work on something new, ask for money then not release anything.

Some of those bands I've never heard of (Timeless Rage, Time Horizon). I'll have to check them out.
It seems like David Benson has been promising a new album for the last 5 years. I hope he does come out with something this year...and that you can purchase it somewhere else than from his website.

He is supposedly working on a new album to release this year. I believe it is called "Sin Killer" or something like that. So far, he hasn't asked for any money. I never had any issues with him as far as shipping out product.

While I would love to work with JD again from Letter 7, I am not sure if I can get in touch with him as I have an old email address from him and he doesn't do social media. Plus, I feel like the guys I am playing with weekly deserve the chance to get in on building whatever songs we are going to do of mine.
As far as what I am writing, my stuff does sound more like the biker rock sound from the first couple of projects. One of the songs I am working on is called "Storytime In America" and it has an Alice Cooper vibe to it. I wish I could get Alice to sing on it!
But, the guitarist that is in the band is also writing. His stuff has elements of 80s hard rock, 70s rock, and some funk. So, we have to put all of these influences into a blender and see what comes out and if it is cohesive as a band. If not, we would have to work harder to find our sound and trim anything that really didn't fit.
While my early projects didn't sound that great, it was so much easier writing/recording when there was only me to worry about. LOL

Seriously excited for Camelot on LP. That will complete my Deliverance collection on vinyl. I don't usually collect the vinyl if I already have it on CD and vice verse, but certain bands I just love to own both

^As much as I love doom, I've never bought any of his stuff. Over the years, I've been aware of soooo many people getting screwed over by him that it's hard to believe it's not intentional. Perhaps it's totally innocent ineptitude, but either way it taints his message (to me anyways).
But on the dooooom note, supposedly Place Of Skulls has some new tunes in the works!!! And Warpriest announced that they've got album #3 in the making too! Last year was a good one for doom and 2022's already looking up.
