I've been meaning to buy their CD for some time and finally pulled the trigger this Bandcamp Friday and am glad I did! Midnight Worship plays a moody/gothic and somewhat proggy style of rock/metal with biblical lyrics. It's contemplative and fairly calming music - great for late nights and grey days.
There wasn't really anything to this that caught my attention. I am gonna pass on this.

Listening to the track "Midnight" right now and really dig what they are doing musically. Not too sure about the vocals yet though.
I think the vocals are fine, though possibly mixed a bit too up-front? I'm really enjoying this album a lot (and my wife likes it too!) though there is something about the mix that could be improved upon I think.

To be expected. Our musical tastes Venn Diagram has very little overlap hahahaha.

These guys are also in a couple other bands including Sombre Holiday - which I haven't really checked out much yet - but they have quite a fairly large discography. https://sombreholiday.bandcamp.com/

Agreed...the atmospheric style would be better with vocals down in the mix. I think a lower vocal register would be good too, but I'm biased.
I find the Venn comment amusing, because you've both pointed me to stuff I find interesting!

What do you think of Sombre Holiday? I've only sampled a few bits but from what I've heard, I like! Maybe then next Bandcamp Friday I'll snag their discography...
