Jake Smith.

In "Invite" a Christian magazine I read something about Jake Smith.
Jake Smith a songwriter/singer from New Orleans was involved by a car accident, then it was the hurricane Katrina who damaged his city.
His parents have gotten cancer.
His songs tell you about comfort, hope even about joy.
In his lyrics he's often telling about the terrible things that happened in his life., but always with a postive line of view.
His source of inspiration is Ray Charles.

I can post a link to listen how his songs sounds but his MySpace page is set for private.

Has anyone heard from this singer from New Orleans?

Maybe it's not hard christian music, but it's positive he is writing about comfort, and joy even his life was not always cool.

Not somebody I have ever heard of. If he has a jazz/soul sound it would most certainly be something I am not interested in.

About Jake Smith it's strange he has set his MySpace account on private. On this way not much can listen how his music sounds.
I will search to see if I can find sosme samples of his music.
Maybe his style is country or hip hop or his vocals sounds like "concrete cookies monster" music.
That's extreme heavy well if that's so I am not interested to listen to his music.
