I played through all the Stryper albums two weeks ago. Last week, I binged all the Krokus albums I have. This week, I am playing everything I own by Bill Menchen.
What are your favorite Bill Menchen releases? For me, it is the original Rev Seven albums--not the ones he released on CD. They sounded much more like Ozzy. I also love the third Titanic album, the two Final Axe albums, and the two Menchen albums. I like The Seventh Power, but Bill's vox were a bit too monotone and robotic for them to be great.

You should, at least, give the second Menchen album a go. It has bassist Tony Franklin and he brought a totally different feel to that short lived band.

I've listened to it and it's good for a couple songs at a time.

My favorites are the last Titanic album "Full Steam Ahead" and the Menchen "Red Rock" album.

I would also add the two Final Axe albums and the original two Rev Seven albums before Bill redid them from the ground up. Riffs changed and so did some lyrics. The originals sounded much more like Jake E. Lee era Ozzy as Bill did go a bit higher with his vocals making him sound less robotic.

I really can't take Bill's voice. But I LOVE the two Menchen albums with Ken on vox.

They are definitely an acquired taste. He does this weird robotic thing now. On the original two Rev Seven releases when they were actually a band, Bill did some higher range stuff that sounded more like Ozzy Ozbourne. It was great! Of course, time will take a toll on a voice and he might not be able to do that now. He should find a new vocalist and keep on making music. He hasn't done anything in a long time.

His Rev Seven stuff is very much like Redeemer and The Seventh Power.
The first two albums "The Unveiling" and "Hell & Back" are the best. However, after changing them and reissuing them with major changes, they just lost something. If you can get him to send you the ORIGINAL versions, now those are pure gold. If not, see if he would let you play those versions if I sent them to you.
