| Ok, so I am stuck at work today, and I was hunting around CDBaby to find some new music to sample and I ran across this Christian artist Bill Steely. Not at all hard music, but it is self-described as "Christian Alternative Rock with a southern rock feel." Kind of reminds me of the secular group "The Wallflowers". Something about this is very appealing to me. Don't know if its the well written music, or the sincerity coming through the lyrics. But I dig it. Check it out, and then you can yell at me for posting this. http://cdbaby.com/cd/steelybill2 _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Drumdude is correct. While we oler people might call this southern rock, this is what modern country sounds like. Ya'll give me grief about some of the more pop rock stuf, but this is just too country for me. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Well I don't hear any banjos, fiddles, or slide guitar. The majority of the vocals are not sung through his nose. And the lyrics don't include anything about trucks, dogs, horses, mama, or honkey tonkin. There may be some country influence, but it sounds more like alt country, than traditional country. But I don't care what you call it, I like it. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

When I called it country, I meant modern country music. It definitely isn't Merle Haggard, but it has a lot in common with Toby Keith. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

Musically you might be able to convince me of that (not that I have heard much Toby Keith), but lyrically....no way. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Well, of course not, lyrically. Just a genre comparison.

I figured that is what you meant, but I was feeling saucy. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

I told you to quit hittin' the sauce! The boy listens to country ONE time and he goes back to drinkin'! Next thing you know, you'll be listenin' to nuthin' but Merle Haggard records.

Nope, no Merle Haggard, but for some reason I can't get the song "Rhinestone Cowboy" out of my head. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."
