| I am getting so tired of Facebook and all the people in various city group pages literally crying out for a two week quarantine. Maybe we need it--maybe we don't. You can bet the whole farm that if we go to a complete national lockdown being enforced by the military that we won't come back from that slippery slope ever. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| And that doesn't take into account all those living totally alone without enough food to get through that, or those that need medical care but live on their own. We are literally asking the government to be Big Brother. | |

| Classes in person were shut down at my school two weeks ago and everything was quickly ported online. My May wedding had to be cancelled because of the unknowns, which had the unexpected benefit of letting me get married two months sooner. My wife's placement in a medical field (midwifery) was also cancelled two weeks ago, which contributed to our early wedding. We can still go outside, but it's important not to have gatherings of any sort and to keep distant. I just wish I didn't have to feel afraid of going to the grocery store. | |

| The only real thing that has affected me about all of this is if I would normally want to go out to eat or head to a movie theater...I can’t. Otherwise it is pretty much life as usual. I still go to work(Walmart), go to the laundrymat for laundry, and even doing yard work.
I don’t think Trump would want to go to a total nationwide lockdown if he doesn’t have to. Hopefully (prayerfully) this can be resolved without it.

AL said restaurants can't even do carry-out? We've done that 11 nights in a row now to help keep our local places afloat. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

AL said restaurants can't even do carry-out? We've done that 11 nights in a row now to help keep our local places afloat. We typically eat out with it just being the two of us and our house is paid for. But, with the virus stuff, we are trying to save a little and eat more at home. We've had home cooked meals almost every day. if we go out for supplies or doing my Facebook live sermon, then we will pick something up on the way. Taking stuff to go isn't really great for us since most of the nearest restaurants are 12-15 miles away. I did pick up a couple of hot sandwiches at Shoney's on the way home from grocery shopping yesterday, though. I am friends with the manager and she had to lay off most of her staff. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| Apparently, the media has finally scared my little town half to death. I walked over to the Dollar General to return a Redbox movie and see about getting a pack of "thinking of you" cards. I would like to send them to my students as I probably won't see them again this year.
Anyway, most everyone is wearing masks and gloves now. While there are plenty of people here I don't know, Watertown has always been known for saying hello to people and either nodding or waving as they walk by in a store. Well, not now. People rush past you like you are the enemy. Of course, if they were really as concerned about the virus as they would like you to think by their masks and gloves, their wouldn't be a literal parking lot full of customers inside.

| They're starting to put up checkpoints between counties in this area. It's getting kinda nerve-wracking. I don't even know if I'll be able to move into my new place at the end of the month. | |

Do you work at Walmart? I do and found out we will be checked plus getting face masks and gloves for working. https://www.mlive.com/coronavirus/2020/04/walmart-to-do-temperature-checks-on-employees-allow-masks.html

| Since the state announced a stay at home order yesterday the stores have been the WORST I have seen them since this started... At first, people were keeping their distance and being polite. Now they are downright rude and aggressive. I went to Winn Dixie just to get a carton of chocolate milk. EVERYTHING was wiped out! Frozen food, meat, canned goods, paper products, eggs, everything gone.
People are really freaking out! The stores will remain open! There is no need to freak out and buy everything up all at once! No chocolate milk either so I had to buy 4 individual little bottles. People will still be allowed to go to the store so I don't see the mad rush. Half the people were wearing face masks. I wondered how many of those could have been donated to someone who really needed it.
On the local news they showed one of the Walmart stores with a line out the front door wrapping down to the garden center!

| My Walmart will soon begin Phase 2 of things. According to an anonymous source, only 50 shoppers will be allowed in the building at one time. Only one representative per family at one time. No children allowed. | |

All that is going to do is make people become even bigger hoarders of products now as this scares the living daylights out of most people. Folks, we have traded our civil liberties away for peace and safety. We will NOT get all of these freedoms back. Many small businesses will not come back. Economically, we will not make it if we continue to shut everything down. Tennessee just issued a statewide stay at home order that is now enforceable. It starts out with a warning, then a letter, and then you get a citation, and then you can be arrested. Seriously? "Ve need to see your papers! Show me da' papers!" This is more than Orwellian. This is the death of our republic as we once knew it. If the USA survives, you can bet your last buck that we will become another socialist/communist sewer as most of the public now is crying out for the government to save them. This nation, while having given us many freedoms over the years, has never been one to give back freedoms they infringe upon. I don't see this going back to normal. We have been predicting a civil war for some time. This virus may well be the powder keg, folks. You can disagree with me if you want, but that is just the way I see it.

| I've started purchasing my groceries on-line and picking it up at the store in their parking area set aside for such shoppers. They bring the groceries to your car and load them up. | |

No, we haven't. They did the same thing back in 1920 with the Spanish Flu.

We just started it as well. Although it might not be 50 at a time as I work in a Neighborhood Market. It might be closer to 20 or so.

| In Arizona, the Governor issued a 'stay at home' order, which I understand shuts down all non-essential business. Basically, you can still go out to purchase groceries or go to Home Depot but you can no longer shop at Best Buy or Goodwill. Restaurants are still open for take out.
During lunch, walked to the Walmart on the corner and stocked up on staples, including oat meal, canned tuna fish and sweet relish. Still frustrated that Hostess products still keep selling out...
