GO" IN CD FORMAT
COMPACT DISC (CD) + DIGITAL ALBUMGo is a declaration of movement. Sometimes movement is a forward motion – and sometimes movement takes a momentary pause as we wait for direction. In either case, “go” does not mean to sit still in our comfort zone and do nothing. We’re either going forward or idling in expectation of God’s direction. And when the time comes to go – then we GO!
Includes unlimited streaming of Go via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more. see lessshipping out on or around February 28, 2020

| I have loved all of his except for the one that musically was more akin to a Sandi Patti album. I skipped it. I love his music with or without Petra. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

You are (I assume) referring to "The Grafting". That one took a minute to grow on me, but became a big favorite of mine.

You are (I assume) referring to "The Grafting". That one took a minute to grow on me, but became a big favorite of mine. I couldn't remember the name of it. Yes, that is the one. I don't want to hear John sing in the style of Sandi Patti. I didn't get Michael Sweet's walk on the mild side, either. I have always felt that if an artist you love puts out content you don't, then you are in no way obligated to purchase it. Oh, if you are a completest, then maybe. Dale Thompson is releasing a ton of music, and some of it I just don't want to hear stylistically. So, I skip those releases. I did the same with Schlitt, Sweet, Mac Powell's solo country stuff, etc. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| I find his solo albums ok, some good songs but overall I think he is best in Petra or UoSaS. | |

| After listening to this today, I will say it is on par with his other releases. You can hear some Petra moments in this as well. I would have to say it is similar to Petra's "Wake Up Call" and the rock side of "No Doubt".

"Wake Up Call" was brilliant! They were starting to show their age as a band, and I think this was a great album showing they were maturing. "No Doubt" was good but was only bogged down by too many sappy ballads. The song "Underneath the Blood" was amazing! John's new album is quite varied. There are some songs with this 70's vibe or a Lenny Kravitz funk feel. There are a couple of ballads, but they are more interesting than those on "No Doubt". He ventures a little into some modern rock elements without going full on Skillet. He has one song that is a medium tempo rocker but has a horn section all the way through. He isn't trying to do metal, but I don't think anyone considers his past output with Petra or Head East as metal, either. John's found a great niche and knows what he does well. So, he hangs out there and just experiments with some different elements.

I have the feeling it will be in my top five for the year alongside the new Saint and Lordchain since they both are meant to be 2020 releases despite me getting them in 2019. I bet Stryper ends up there as well.
