John Schlitt's newly recorded album "The Greater Cause" will be coming out on May 8th!! To give you a taste of what it will sound like, here's the video that was released for the single "Hope that Saves the World". Anyone else looking forward to this???

Oh my! That sounds really, really good! Very 70's British pop with a good crunch to it...
Love the hook in the chorus too.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to this. I just hope this isn't the heaviest song on the album, with the rest being softer stuff like his last album.

Yeah, it's the Kickstarter album...The whole album is actually pretty rockin (with a few mellow moments here and there)...I really like Take Me Home, One of These Days and Live It Loud (even the little "rap" in that one doesn't bother me)

I have the download of the CD that was offered by Kickstarter. However, after the Kickstarter project ended, John offered this and you could pay through PayPal--which I did. So, the album is definitely more in the vein of this song with just 2 or 3 softer tracks.

Does the album sound rocking like "Shake" did (especially Wake The Dead and such)?

Man, I really dig this album. I thought I would fast forward thru the ballads, which I did at first because I just don't care for them regardless of the band. One the second listen I let it play all the way thru and "End Of Fear" is an excellent song. My favorite is "Take Me Home". I keep going back to the first 5 tracks. All of them are good. I can't compare the style to anything because "it is what it is". Just good, Christian Rock.

My CD arrived today! Great stuff! Even has the passages of scripture next to each song, so you know what the songs on about.
