Hey y'all. Ahead of our album coming out on the 25th, John and I thought we'd put out a video for one of our tunes. It's a song called Oppenheimer's Tragedy. Most of the songs on Children of God are grounded in scripture, but this one and two others are written about historic events. Oppenheimer's Tragedy is about the creation of the atomic bomb and the awful consequences of it. The lyrics are built around Robert Oppenheimer's famous reflection upon seeing the power of the bomb he helped build: "I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."
For this video I am become crazy-veined-death-creature and John is become weird-masked-axe-man...
