Simple tune I came up with today. Maybe we can turn it into something.

I like it! I would try one thing for it, though. You often have the keys just play the same chords during your chorus parts. Try changing this up and do "arpeggios" with the keys. I think it would add a different feel. The keys do add a haunting feature, but the movement of the notes would add something different.
Other than that, I like this enough that it is ready for whatever vocals/lyrics you choose.

Hey, simple can be good too (anything I ever wrote on guitar was simple...because that's all I could do)! Not every song has to be a classical concerto. I dig the groove!...and am totally in love with your fantastic guitar tones. (I better calm down with that....I'm really starting to sound like a fanboy...not a good look on someone my age...and whats with all the ellipses?...I think I need help)

Yes you are right I tend to do that with keys a lot. Partly because I'm not very imaginative when it comes to keyboards, but sometimes I just do it and then if vocals go over top the keyboards may change, or the guitar may change. I was messing with this song again today and added in some lead. The lead in the verses is just for the heck of it and probably won't stay but I am liking the lead I put in the choruses. They sound bigger now (maybe too big?).. My camera and video software is giving me a hard time and it froze at the end, but you get the idea..

Would have to hear it with vocals. As long as the chorus leads doesn't bury the vocals it might work. As an instrumental it sounds great!

To be honest, I am not a big fan of instrumentals at all. I don't mind one thrown in on occasion on a full album if it is done extremely well and seems to match the overall vibe of the rest of that band's material. This works. Jen has a great voice, but there is something about this song that screams to leave it unfinished as far as vocals so. The extra added layers just make it feel finished. Coming from someone who doesn't like instrumentals, keep this one this way.

Wow thank you!
I'm not sure if I like the lead guitar in the verses. I may mess with those to make them a bit more interesting.
