Dreamer! Not really obscure but were victims of the change in sound pushed by the grunge scene. Daniel Band's Dan McCabe brings his signature vocals and much of the DB sound with him and puts out a quality hard rock album. The only thing I miss is Tony Rossi's guitar licks but the guitarist does an adequate job.

I don't remember Dreamer at all.
While not related to that band in any way, here is another trip down memory lane.

I still really dig that Dreamer album. I actually liked some it better than a lot of the Daniel Band stuff because it had more of a "metal sheen" to it (not that the Daniel Band was bad at all). I certainly liked the Dreamer album better than the one TRB (Toni Rossi Band) album I had.
I never owned that Traxter album. But fans of the band really seem to hold it in high regard.

I never heard Dreamer. Traxter. Never did get into that album. I tried. Do I get an "A" for effort?

That Traxter album was like listening to every riff that the late 80's hair bands had made possible, especially GnR.

No! Effort begins with E. That's why you never got A's!!!
I have the Dreamer album in my collection. I like it, but it felt like it was missing a little something in the writing department. Oh, yeah! Toni Rossi didn't help with the writing. That's it!
As for the two Toni Rossi Band/TRB albums, I have both. I prefer the latter TRB album. I played the daylights out of that. His vocals were not as good as Dan McGabe's were. But, the vibe of that album just rocked. It was high energy and fun. Toni's first album had some good songs but got bogged down with too many ballads.

I liked both Dreamer and Traxter, but they both lacked that 'something'.
They both almost had something special.

I thought I had started a thread about this album before...at least a few years ago. Well, turns out I was right! Only it was more than just a few years....it was 11 years ago.

I have the Dreamer album. It's mandatory for Canucks who like the Daniel Band. It's pretty good. I play it once in a while. It's missing something though, I can't quite put my finger on it. It could be Toni Rossi, but I'm not sure that's what it is.
What are the two Toni Rossi/TRB albums?
