Been away for a bit but back at it now. Progress on our 3rd album was slow due to the Christmas season but we did manage to complete some stuff. Figured I would post a sample of one of the songs today. This one is called Wicked Ways and the video shows about half of the song.

Thanks guys! We're really trying to improve on the song structures and production, so these tunes are taking longer than they have in the past but hopefully worth it.

Well it's not like anyone expects you to keep cranking out two albums a year! Take your time and make the album you want to make.

Jen is right. I'd prefer quality over quantity by any band. Some folks might can crank out multiple albums a year (Michael Sweet & Dale Thompson) and get them sounding great. But, not everyone can. I took two years on my latest Big Chris & D'Bare Bones Band album. I recorded, waited on my brother to do the drums, got impatient and did them myself on 5 songs, mixed, re-recorded, mixed again, re-recorded parts both guitar and vocal, mixed, mixed, and mixed again, then mastered, remixed, and finally mastered the project. There are still tweaks that needed to be there, but my ears were finally shot. With the gear I have been using, I don't feel that I could have gotten any closer to what I wanted to hear. Also, stronger players on the record could have made it better. I am weak in the solo department, but I am doing what I can on a 3 or 4 string guitar. LOL
Take your time. This sounds amazing, so slowing down is a great approach for you. Besides, if Jen wants to slow down, you could stress her out by going to fast.
Also, there are people in the states you could possibly work with for a side project if you need to do more than one per year! Let's talk sometime.

Yeah Jen and I have a great back and forth. She definitely helps me to slow down and listen closely, then when I do the changes needed are obvious.
