| I think that Rob and Chris are set for the CD of their careers with this disc. Every song is strong and has all the elements that metalheads love. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Only .... when we can order this album when you don't want to order the Japanese version? I'm sure the Japanese version is expensive. Again a strong CD From Impellitteri with Rob Rock. | |

| The European version comes out in April. So, you should be able to get this before we do here in the USA.
I wish that Rob Rock and Impelletteri would hook up with Retroactive to release their material in the USA so that we wouldn't have to wait months for us to be able to get their new stuff.

| Yippee, that's good news. I'll be helpful and can order one new Impellitteri for you to, like we did before. Than you don't have to wait till "Wicked Maiden" is released in the US. Good idea? | |

| I just ordered the new CD (Japanese Version) from a seller on eBay. I found out that the Japanese version does have a set of English lyrics included. So, since I don't read the inserts and memorize them like I did in my early years, I am getting this while I could find it. Be careful if you go this route, there are many sellers wanting upwards of $40 for this. I got mine for $19.99. That's still a little pricey, but the imported discs (Japanese or European) are often higher.

| Does this mean the european version doesn't have a set of English lyrics included? Or will it be a cardboard CD box with not a booklet with lyrics and information about the band? | |

| I am sure that the European version will be in English. There are too many languages in Europe to print in each one. So, they will be in English since most of you Europeans speak at least some English. As far as the packaging goes, I don't know if this will be a cardboard sleeve, digipack, or standard CD. I am guessing the standard CD.

| Hey, Fundy....I have one question: What were the lyrics on these two like? System X (2001) Pedal To The Metal (2004) I'm not really a fan of Bonnet's voice, but I heard some clips of P.T.T.M. and thought that the singer was similar to Rob Rock. Some of the songs also seemed to have a more spiritual (and possibly Christian) worldview. What is your opinion? _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| System X isn't a christian album at all, it's very similar in tone to Stand In Line, infact I'd go as far as to say it's almost Stand In Line 2. There's no Christian content at all, apart from one song that Chris wrote, had the line "We're men of God and American". It's sort of standard 'secular' type metal. If it wasn't Impellitteri I wouldn't buy it, but Chris playing and Grahams vocals are good enough to have made me buy it for my collection.
Pedal To The Metal, in my opinion is alot more 'christian'. Although there are more swear words in this album, it's much more openly christian, and whilst Curtis' vocals aren't as good as Rob's, they're much more Robesque than Grahams. And to be honest I do like the vocals. So lyrically, there are a number of very good lines in the album that are pro christian and so although you can't say it's a christian album, it does have leanings to that.
Here's a number of lines from different songs........ I guess we can take things to mean different things, but I look at these lyrics as being 'christian'
We all run in circles But no one finds their way We wander through darkness Living in shame Too busy staring To notice the writings on the wall Now I am certain You've set yourself up for the fall
----------------
I hear that Satan's calling For this world to end He marches on with his masquerade Taking God's good men All the kings, the presidents Sold their soul for greed Now the world burns For all of eternity In his hell
If you dance with the devil Hell is the price you must pay If you dance with the devil
----------------
Don't fear the devil Cause pharoahs go to hell You live your life under a spell Blind men see your evil Rich men love the gore The judgement day evens the score
God will come again some day And the wicked man will hang On judgement day
---------------
The swearing is annoying, as I don't like that kind of thing, but for some reason I can over look it on these albums.....

| If you're a completest, I'd recommend you buy them, as they're not offensive enough to have to pass by, but if it's a "Rob Rock" or "Christian" thing, then don't buy them.
The Very Best Of Impellitteri is a good "Best Of" to buy, as there are 2 previously unreleased songs (on US releases anyway) sung by Rob Rock. Cyberflesh and Freakshow are both great tracks. And when you buy that album you can hear 2 songs from System X.

| I am getting out of the habit of being a completist. If someone puts out a crappy CD or has something on it that I don't like, then why add it to the coolection? I don't think I'll add those two Impelletteri discs as I can live without the swearing. If not for that, I would have to get "Pedal To The Metal". I would pass on "System X" simply due to having Bonnet on it. Never liked his voice.

| Yes, cardboard sleeves are a pain.
I have Rob Rock "Eye Of The Hurricane" and Boarders "The World Hates Me" and they have the the cardboardy covers. Don't like them at all. Yes, they look great for about 5 minutes, but then they get dog eared.

| Not really. The cardboard digipacks used to cost more than a standard CD release to produce. I thought about that route with "Show Me The Way", and it was not cost effective at all.

| Cannot stand cardboard sleeves or digi-packs. Most digi-packs have the cd-holder glued onto the cardboard fold out. I have had those fall off with repeated usage. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| I've got the new CD now! While this is the Japanese version, you can rest assured that if you choose to order it that the inserts are in ENGLISH. There was an extra insert with the lyrics in Japanese. Other than that, I see no difference in any other CD I buy. Rob's voice on this is just as smooth as ever. He delivers the goods vocally EVERY time. Chris is at the top of his form on the guitar. The man is super fast and precise with his leads. The rest of the rhythm section is tight and does what they are supposed to do--keep a monsterous wall of sound going to make the guitarist and vocalist shine. They do this with precision, passion, and a lot of talent. This is definitely on the favorites for 2009 list. I'm almost positive it will be on yours as well.

It's good Chris and rob are in one band. It seems their gifts work very well together. | |
