| Most of you are aware of my Redemption Vinyl drama. Well, I spoke with an "insider" who cleared up a lot of stuff. I mentioned that I was screwed by 3 different "Christian" businesses: 7Ball Magazine, Girder, and Redemption Vinyl. I explained details of each one as well. Much to my surprise, but now it makes a lot of sense, Girder and RV are the SAME CROOKED PERSON ! A con artist who preys on people of faith to line his pocket with cash. He's not 100% fraudulent with everyone, otherwise his schemes would die out. Rather, he hooks several up and takes care of them, while royally screwing others and taking money from good people without delivering the products. So I thought I'd share that revelation with you fine folks. If you're interested in reading the insider info I was given, I posted it below.

Dustin Pendleton shared this with me: "Greg Hays is the owner and sole operator of Girder Music and Redemption Vinyl. There are no employees, it’s just him. He did have a partnership with David Powell (Finley) when they started up Redemption Vinyl but Powell committed suicide while under investigation and pending indictment the coming week after by the federal government for embezzlement. Girder is the one with the most notoriety and publicity as it’s been the one he’s operated for the longest period of time. It’s also the one in which he isn’t AS fraudulent with customers, yet, as you all see, he still cons customers through that entity. RV on the other hand he has completely gone rogue and flat out defrauded those customers since last year. There are an abundance of claims of fraud against him with RV. He no longer has access to the Facebook pages for Girder and Redemption Vinyl which is why you’re able to see some of those complaints now instead of him deleting them, though I have kept a log of every single complaint before deletion. As for why his access to the pages was banned, he’s a registered sex offender, and terminated from FB for violating their policies that strictly forbid offenders to have pages.
I know some already know of his sex offender status and still continue to do business with him, why, I do not understand, but that is your business. My morals could never allow me to support the business of a person who sexually assaulted young children, let alone the fact it was his own daughters.
If you chose to go the route of, not my place to judge and forgiveness, I hope you at least heed the advice of myself and others in regards to the fraud and deceptive business practices.
He is a con artist. Plain and simple. I can confidently say that because.....he’s my technically terms only, my future father in law. I know him, his businesses, and how he operates, very well. I only wish to protect all of you from falling victim to his tactics. I will never claim to be a perfect Christian, nor is anyone of us, but my line is drawn on staying silent while watching someone use faith to deceive so many.
Please stay safe, protect yourself, and if you have been defrauded, please contact me and I will best assist you. The BBB issue as one had mentioned is not the best recourse. They don’t really have any authority other than to grade a business negatively, but he doesn’t really care about that."

| I haven't used Girder since the mess up with my order of a Steve Taylor and Alter Boys album. I ordered before festival time. Then Girder hit the fests and sold all the merch of titles I ordered. I was then notifies that the items were backordered and I would have to wait on new stock. I emailed and Hays said it could be months but that no refunds would be given.
So, since I paid thru PayPal, I started a claim through them for a refund. Hays then ordered my items from Retroactive and had my stuff shipped so he woukdnwo get dinged by PayPal.
I also had trouble getting paid for albums he bought of mine. I did get my money but months after the promised payout.
I don't shop there anymore. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| This topic sparked a lengthy response about Secular vs Christian suppliers that I decided to make it's own thread... | |

| I watched a few others get burned by Girder, so I never used them (Beyond the preorder of the Whitecross-Nineteen Eighty Four album, which at the time was the only way to get it). Sad to hear he is still up to his same tricks. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

| Yeah, he's always been kinda shady. If you buy from him eBay, you'll have a good chance to get your stuff. Just hope it's authentic | |

| Oh my word. I unwittingly ordered DeGarmo & Key Streetlight LP from Girder a while back. It was scratched big-time. | |

I remember first seeing a seller on ebay with stacks of new vinyl that just happened to be the exact same stock that the thief over at Redemption Vinyl had. My Spidey sense immediately started tingling and I steered clear of him. However, he knows better than to rip off his clients on ebay, cuz ebay doesn't go for that crap
