Copied from the Roxx Website:
Roxx Records is very excited to be bringing you a very limited edition one time CD pressing of a long lost rock n roll GEM of an album from MAX BLAM JAM featuring Glenn Rogers and Brian Khairullah of Deliverance fame. This is not your typical Christian Metal album though, it is a very diverse rock n roll album that has never been officially and fully released, until now. Check out the original press promo the band used back in 1991 when this album was first recorded…
“In March of 1991, Brian Khairullah, dissatisfied with his relationship with his record company, Intense Records, left the band Deliverance in pursuit of artistic freedom. At the same time Glenn Rogers was writing music on the side while he was playing lead guitar for Steel Vengeance (Black Dragon Records of France). Brian and Glenn came together at that time and found the collaboration to be fiercely productive. They sought to create music that could be felt in the heart as well as the gut. What they created was a crunchy funky blues groove with an affinity for the soul.
They then enlisted former Steel Vengeance bassist Cesar Ceregatti and multi-instrumentalist Dan Ceregatti for drums and keyboards. Cesar’s aggressive funk groove combined with Dan’s diversity and willingness to experiment provided a rich addition to MAX BLAM JAM.
MAX BLAM JAM’s musical influences are eclectic ranging from Elton John, Primus and Aerosmith, to the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Metallica and Mozart. This mixture and the energy generated on stage make MAX BLAM JAM a new answer to the question… Are You Experienced?”
This is a very special one-time pressing of this long lost classic Christian rock record originally recorded in 1991. It features all new artwork and layout courtesy of Scott Waters of No Life Til Metal and all ten original tracks fully remastered by Rob Colwell of Bombworks Sound. Beautifully packaged in a jewel case with 8 page booklet and all lyrics enclosed.
Pre Order the MAX BLAM JAM album entitled ‘Blow Up Man’ now to get a very special limited edition sticker for the first 50 pre orders only. Street Date for this release is January 26, 2018.

When I first saw Glenn's name on this, I was skeptical. I was thinking it was going to be something a lot thrashier. I was hoping it would be no heavier than the Die Happy debut. When I listened to a couple of tracks on YouTube, I discovered that this was a lot funkier with some blues overtones. I liked it enough that I preordered this.

You know we are getting old when we get excited about antique music.

I like the music, but that video was pointless. Antique shots of bombers and nothing more? Snooze city.

Yeah, I was kind of expecting a lyric video or something.... Watch it again.... Is there a glitch in the song at 1:11?? Let me know what you think, I hope this isn't like the Sin Dizzy re-issue that had a major glitch in one of the songs.

There is a glitch there! Someone should let Bill know before they get this released!

Hopefully, it is a blip in the video and not in the CD audio.

Ok so it looks like the glitch is on the video only and not on the audio track. Good news!

Got mine too! Listened in truck and I like it a lot. But there is a lot of "sameness" to it. Doesn't mean it's bad but imagine Impellitteri and you will know what I mean by "sameness".
Enjoyable! Some of it has an early 90's Chili Peppers feel to it.
No liner notes of any kind only lyrics which I couldn't examine while driving lol!

I hope to be able to get out and listen to this in the truck. We have about 3 inches of snow on the ground and I haven't been out since Monday afternoon. It is snowing again and we won't get above freezing today, so I probably am not getting out much.
Before our northern neighbors make fun of us, remember that we don't get enough snow to actually stay practiced on. You can't use snow chains with so little accumulation without ruining our all-season radials. We don't get enough snow to switch to snow tires every year. They will salt the roads, but all that does is melt the snow enough for it to become black ice overnight. Then, you have a bigger mess the next few days until the sun actually pops out.
But, hey! I have a new Max Blam Jam CD to listen to!

I am listening right now and hear some Red Hot Chili Peppers and Lenny Kravitz here. I also hear some comparisons to Hot Pink Turtle, Uthanda, and Blackball.

For those that have the CD version, who handles vocals for Max Blam Jam?

The credits don't expressly mention who does what so I will go by the photos of the players in the band. It would appear that Brian Khairrullah handles vocals, Glenn Rogers plays guitar and does backing vocals, Cesar Ceregatti plays bass, and Daniel Ceregatti plays drums and also handles backing vocals. Judging by the photos, the Ceregatti guys are probably brothers.

If that is the case then Khairrullah does a fine job on vocals.
