| The classic rock Christmas band is back! I already have 4 albums of this powerhouse band that has featured people like Phil Bardowell, Chuck Wright, and John Elefante. Well, they are back with a new full length Christmas album. (Yes, I realize that the holiday season is almost over.) This new release features 13 tracks with only onle being a remake of a traditional holiday song. New to this album are people like Kane Roberts (guitarist at one time for Alice Cooper), Bruce Kulick (formerly of KISS), Chuck Wright (Quiet Riot, Impelletteri) again appears, Mark Slaughter (of Slaughter fame), Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake & Dio), Robin McAuley (McAuley Schenker Group, Survivor), Bill Leverty (Firehouse), and country singer Laura Walsh. This is truly a super group in the making, and they are all about Christmas. The cool thing with this band is that most of the songs focus on Jesus with just a small touch of Santa thrown in.
I am SO getting this and listening to it before New Year's rolls around!

| Did you see the customer review! That made me laugh! Why would anyone buy a CD without listening to a track first?!!!! _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

| I think because they expected this to be the Northern Lights Orchestra. Notice the "s" in lights. That one little letter makes a BIG difference. Without the "s", you get a rock Christmas project. With that extra letter, you actually get classical music that is also Christmas music. It could be confusing. I wish the rock band would change the name to something like Bethlehem Star. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I do have to agree with the reviewer that nothing really sounded like Christmas music though the lyrics apparently are focused on that. Honestly, I wasn't impressed by the samples. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

You don't hear annoying jingle bells and a lot of tired rehashed tracks. They came in and made a rockin' album with a Christmas theme!

| I have only played it once and probably won't hear this again until next year. On my only listen, though, the lyrics are mostly about the birth of Christ and some about how the salvation of man had come. The overall gist is more from the Christian tradition. With John Elefante involved, I actually expected this.
