To be perfectly honest, I would rank them in order:

5 was definitely the worst as they cut out most of the goings on in the book behind the main plot. You see almost nothing of Harry's relationship with Cho Chung. You see very little of Jenny Weasley starting to fall for Harry, and Harry starting to like her too. The other books had a lot cut out of them to be turned into screenplays, too, but this one just was too gutted to really feel right.

I have to confess I have never seen a Harry Potter movie or read a Harry Potter book.

Hmm I'm gonnna have to think about this one (maybe I will get some input from my wife as she is a big Harry Potter fan).

I can seem to seperate the movies from the books so my rating is as such.

1. 3-Prisoner of Azkaban (but it was a little too dark visually)
2. 1-Sorcerer's Stone (great film)
3. 4-Goblet of Fire (but maybe a little too much teen angst)
4. 2-Chamber of Secrets (kind of boring but Kenneth Branagh was great)
5. 5-Order of the Phoenix (what a turd, just seemed kind of half-hearted)

My wife refuses to rate them, and she likes and dislikes them for different reasons. Her favorite book is Prisoner of Azkaban, but she was disappointed that they had left so much out of the film. If she would have had her way we would have had to sit through a 6 hour film. She also really likes Gary Oldman as Sirius Black.

Apart from film 5, we're exactly the same Staybrite!

I would also rather have a longer film. Truthfully, with these, the Lord Of The Rings, or even Pirates of the Caribbean, they could have split these into two films. Then, they could have charged you more to get in, allow you to watch the first film, have an intermission to get more refreshments/use the restroom, and then watch part two. It would be a sweet day at the movies.
