There's a new one this year (on Lifetime):
Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever. Just watched it (on DVR) last night with the wife... it was cute.
The Night They Saved Christmas is by far my favorite (and was my favorite as a kid).

I just got back from watching Elf at a local brewery haha. That's one of the only Christmas movies to come out in the last two decades that I'd consider to be a "timeless classic" Christmas flick. Most all others seem to just get forgotten but that one is genuinely a good flick IMO.

A Christmas Story. It has been my favorite since before it was popular. It was originally a flop and didn't take off until Ted Turner started putting it on TBS. When I saw it, it was fairly new. I didn't see it in theaters but probably saw it on HBO or something soon after its release.
And someday I'd like to make the trip to visit the house in Cleveland, OH. Complete with Leg Lamp in the window!
And you never know who might be there. If you get lucky you may run into a grown up Grover Dill and Scott Farkus!
Or a grown-up Randy might STILL be under the sink!

I believe the gentleman's name is actually Scut Farkas... but I digress.
MY favorite Christmas movie (maybe fave movie ever) is It's a Wonderful Life. I know it's cliche but James Stewart is so amazing.
I alos like: Elf Christmas Story Charlie Brown Christmas (one of the few that actually talks about Jesus) The Nativity Story The Polar Express

There are several good Christmas movies, but there are three that are mandatory viewing for me every year:
A Christmas Carol (George C Scott version) It's A Wonderful Life The Bishop's Wife
I bought all three on Blu Ray just last week. No more searching cable schedules to find them.

Must sees every year (in no particular order):
Home Alone 1 It's a Wonderful Life Scrooged (Bill Murray) The Family Man (Nicolas Cage) How The Grinch Stole Christmas (Jim Carey) Grinch cartoon, all the clay-mation cartoons from the 60s. A Christmas Story Elf Christmas Vacation Ernest saves Christmas Edward Scissorhands the Fourth Wise Man (possibly the most amazing story with a message directly about Messiah) Mixed Nuts (Steve Martin) Surviving Christmas

Of course he does, I mean who doesn't love Rizzo the Rat. One of his best scenes in the film has to be when Gonzo uses him to clean a spot in the window to see through. Pure comedic genius!

Yes, it is Scut Farkus, and I knew that but thought "Scott" would suffice since most people think thats what it is anyway....
Flash Gordon is also listed in the credits to the movie...
And there is a band named "The Scott Farkus Affair".
