Once the CDs arrive tomorrow, I will set up a sales pages at CD Baby and let them handle my shipping and all.  It will be so much easier for me that way.

I actually thought about doing a Rose cover but changed my mine.  I might on my next full length.

I have learned that I seriously need to learn how to market my music.  I've sold enough to cover my costs of CDs, CD Baby signup and download cards, and can cover shipping costs without eating into what I am making.  However, I can't get people to listen to samples or buy the music outside of a couple dozen friends who I know on message boards.  I need some marketing skills!

Marketing is the hard part.  Let me know when you get it figured out - LOL

By the time I have it figured out for today's music industry, I'll be at least 20 years behind the curve.

Even with trying to build some hype the release still went over like a Led Zeppelin.  Of course digital distributors don't report for 3 months.

Busking, maybe that's the way forward!  I know in the uk some buskers sell lots of CD's during the day.

i am working on getting my sound together to do exactly that, Fundy.  I want to do some of that to sell guitars and CDs.  I also want to try to get some bookings and that could help.

Ah!  I wasn't familiar with the term but the practice certainly is familiar.  I don't have a good enough voice to do it.

I think the term is more popular in Europe than it is in the states.  I only figured out what it was when I was reading up on an old rock band and the article said the lead singer (a female) had been arrested multiple times for busking.  I had no clue what the word was (but it sounded like something dirty) so I had to look it up.
