A strong mix of ZZ Top, George Thorogood .... flat out blues... Stevie and the Saints?

some strong stuff here... and yes the Production is a HUGE HUGE improvement over what I was expecting... trying to decide what track I'll include in this weekends Throne Room show...

Chris it is that good... and that much improved ... WOW...

A big part of the improvement was having someone else more knowledgeable in the mixing department handle this. Drum tones were overlaid on my electric drum tracks. The bass and guitars were run through several virtual rooms to get that big sound. My vocals as well.

Also, I have always tried to do metal. I've tried to make myself sound like what I thought people would want to hear. I don't have the type of voice. With my baritone, I should be doing something heavier and more modern so I could use a lower register gruff voice. With this album, I just made music with my hand made guitars to please myself. If it came off super bluesy, that is awesome. If it came off as too country, so be it. I just wanted an album that I thought I would play over and over. I succeeded!

Do I think its perfect? By no means. I do well with a slide, but I still have a long way to go as a lead player with actual noting and playing that way. I can nail that Billy Gibbons/ZZ Top style, though, and will probably gravitate that way more on future recordings.

Oh, just for the record, I played everything on the song "Bound For A Throne". I was the vocalist, kazoo player, guitarist, bassist, and even drummer. I wanted to give it a try. Not being a drummer, it only took about 2 hours to practice and get it right without messing up. It is too hard to punch in/punch out to correct mistakes when you can't be at the recorder. So, that is actually one take of many. It was my final one. I had become discouraged and was giving up completely. I thought that I would try it one last time and when I messed up I would quit. So, when I stopped caring about doing it right, I nailed it!

I've got Life's Just Bad slated between Crossforce and Main Line Riders...

Crossforce's track is Smoke Filled Room (ballad) and MLR is PowerSurge, it works quite well...

I approved my first lyric video just this morning. I won't upload it to YouTube until closer to the album coming out.

I am awaiting some image files from my CD design team and then we are ready to upload to manufacturing!

It will just depend on how fast the turnaround is on the CDs and also how long it takes CD Baby to set my page up. I am going to use them with the CD Baby Pro so that they can get everything up and running on all legal download sales sites, streaming audio, and CD sales sites as well. I can hit one place and be on dozens of sites simultaneously.

That 20% discount is only for BLUES boards. This is a hard music forum. Big difference! lol!

It seems that I won't receive a proof copy for my discs through EasyDisc. Bummer! I wanted to be able to approve my stuff before they made the CDs.

Yeah, I am not too thrilled with this. A proof copy was $20 extra that EasyDisc.net doesn't tell you about.
