Subject: NEW Band with "Classic" sound? Thu Mar 03, 2016 1:49 pm
Dude... MikeInFla --- in the CMR thread---mentioned "Chaotic Resemblance." As a band that is "new" but sounds "classic" (I.e. in the vein of Bllodgood, Saint, Barron Cross, Whitecross, etc.)... That caught my atteion---I need to check them out.
It also inspired this question---"What other NEW bands do you know about -- who have a 'classic' sound?"

No love for that, I was never a fan of the 80's hair metal...

Those guys remind me of The Darkness and Steel Panther... both secular bands doing a retro throwback sound.

Here's another Desyre. They are a bit heavy on the keyboards but it also sounds classic.

Yea, well "classic sound" does not necessitate hair metal...

Indeed. I'd consider someone like Stairway to be "classic sound" but they're not truly new since they've been around for some time now

"Hair metal" killed metal, but hey, don't take my word for it...
