Which of these old, long gone bands was your favorite?

I am going with Scarlet Red, but with Arsenal and Mark Pogue coming in close behind.

I went with Chase "In Pursuit". I probably could have just as easily picked the Arsenal album (I really dig it too, and wish it would get a CD reissue).
I have to confess that I don't think I have ever even heard the Mark Pogue album. Leaving that album out of my picks I would probably say my least favorite is the Mercy Rule album.

Wow, totally digging this AOR sound! Can't believe I missed out on this one all these years.

I've always loved that album. I picked up the cassette on a whim back when it was new and totally dug the songs.
I think that the Mercy Rule CD was simply hurt by a poor mix/mastering. Can you see what is about to happen to that one? Actually, I have a list of old releases like these that are going to get doctored.

Oh, sweet Lord Jesus! Help this poor man!
It is not surprising. Many of these were out in the 80s and very early 90s. It is doubtful that you've seen these in stores, and I would suspect that the talk on the message boards has been limited because of these albums age. Add to that the fact of them only doing one album and disappearing, they become obscure even to Christian metal fans.

I used to think that remastering wouldn't really do anything to make me like an album more. But a few years back I got the remastered version of Sacred Warriors "Master's Command" album (I think Cliffy did it), and was shocked at how much more I liked the album.

Sometimes making things a bit louder and more clear can breathe new life into something.

Fortunately, I have the full length CD that each of these three bands did

Really? But those are both bands with female lead singers!

I don't think I ever bought any of those bands albums (maybe Scarlet Red). When I read the thread title, the first band to pop in my head was Rage of Angels.

I went with Scarlet Red, but if RoA was on the list that would have been the easy winner.

I kind of figured that Rage Of Angels would sweep everything else, so I intentionally left them off the list.

I only have half of these. Out of those i chose Chase. Very underrated album, but so is Mark Pogue. Some great choices. Btw Charizma had more than one album.

True, but didn't they drastically change styles? I only have one of the "Rock the World" reissues, but I heard a few of their later songs and it sounded like a completely different band.

Yeah Charizma changed their style to AOR and their style finally evolved into a more poppy style.

I could have added more like Trixter and Shadow Wings. If I went with indie artists, there was a lot I could have chosen.
