| How many of you love those first two Shout albums? You remember them? "It Won't Be Long" and "In Your Face"? Yeah, those were amazing albums, but they do sound so dated now.
Well, to continue learning about mastering, I decided to do the two of those albums. Let me have a listen to them in the truck, my favorite listening booth, before I share them. If you already own a cassette, CD, or LP of these albums, I will share them with you. If I don't have your email, you will need to PM me. If I do have it (you know who you are), then just post in here that you want it.
See how easy that is! I will make them .RAR files and upload them to Dropbox. You will need 7-Zip File Manager to open them. For some unknown stupid reason, RarZilla! swears that these will be password protected when they certainly are not. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| That sounds like a very good idea. You have remastered a several CDs till now. are you content about the results? Have you learned from remastering CDs to do it better? To play with it till you have the sound you like? | |

| I loved this when it was new. Found a copy about 4 years ago (first album) and thought it wasn't near as cool as I remember. But I'm game I'll send you my email address. I have all the Shout/Tamplin stuff. | |

| I will get it sent out as soon as I am happy with it. I have "It Won't Be Long" as good as I can get it. "In Your Face" came out with the low end too powerful. While the music is very much improved, it walks over Ken's vocals and I cannot understand his lyrics. I have enough trouble understanding him when he gets into his upper range as it is. So, I am redoing this one with a little less low end and trying to keep more of the dynamic range. This should keep Ken's voice more in the final rendering. - Quote :

You have remastered a several CDs till now. are you content about the results? Have you learned from remastering CDs to do it better? To play with it till you have the sound you like? That's exactly what I do: keep playing until I get something I love! I am extremely happy with the results so far. To be honest, these will be the versions I listen to from now on instead of the originals. You'd have to be happy to make that change. My favorites so far were Guardian's "Fire & Love" and Rev Seven's "The Unveiling". Those albums seem like they are brand new all over again with the mastering changed.

| I'm fairly satisfied with the Shout remasters. Sadly, I cannot get the low end like I would want. If I do, it washes out some of the cymbals and even vocals. So, I went for a more subtle change. The volume increased as did the bass levels while keeping the guitars crisp and vocals clear. Because there was not much low end in the original mix, it is hard to pull that out from just a stereo track.
If you want a copy, just let me know!

| I compared Give Me An Answer as that's the song I'm most familiar with. Talk about night and day! The recording I have sounds like it was taken from the radio compared to your remaster. | |

| Thanks! I adjusted the overall volume, created more space, and brought up the low end without sacrificing high hat work. You want to hear all the nuances of a recorded piece, and slamming something with low end and volume is not good. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Alldat, I am listening to your Shout remasters now and wow! You have really breathed some fresh life into these tracks! To be honest (at least to my untrained ears) they sound more like studio originals than the originals! Thanks for your efforts, and thanks again for sharing them with us! Here's hoping you're able to do Bride's "Kinetic Faith" someday! Also, I decided to create some custom covers for your remasters to keep them separate from the originals in iTunes, and I thought I'd post them here on the off chance anyone else was interested in having them, too: Enjoy! | |

I just need to turn it into a .rar file and upload it. I've already done it! I am currently working on Mercy Rule - Overruled right now. I hope to do even more. My sights are on Ken Tamplin's first album, Mark Pogue and Fortress, Charizma, and even Novella's two. If it was released before 1995, look out! It could use some fresh paint!
