Sinbreed is coming out with a new one in 2016. From their Facebook site:

Sinbreed wrote:

So here it is: We are so happy to announce the new Sinbreed Album "MASTER CREATOR" will be released on February 26th 2016.

"Master Creator" tracklisting:

01. Creation Of Reality
02. Across The Great Divides
03. Behind A Mask
04. Moonlit Night
05. Master Creator
06. Last Survivor
07. At The Gate
08. The Riddle
09. The Voice
10. On The Run

As most know, Sinbreed is the German power metal band for which Herbie Langhans, formerly of Seventh Avenue, now sings. Their first album, When Worlds Collide, was on Ulterium Records, a company that mostly produces Christian bands, and contained songs that seemed to at least hint at Christianity ("The truth is written, you can run, but you can't hide" and "The place is here, when time has come, Judgement Day is nigh"). However, their second release, Shadows, was put out by AFM Records, an outfit that is definitely not Christian, and contained several tracks that seemed to suggest the persona of the song had given up on Christianity, including these words from "Reborn":

Too long I watched in silence
Watched my life passing by
Had faith in words
That once been said in vain
A kingdom of the heavens
Forgiveness of my sins
Such noble words
Been written in our past

Breaking out of my cage
My ears are deaf
To the pied pipers call
Find a new way to go
I break my agreement
And live on my own

It will be very interesting to see if we can detect any hint of faith in the new CD's lyrics, particularly with an album title like "Master Creator". While Herbie was the primary lyricist for When Worlds Collide, Flo Laurin wrote most of the lyrics for Shadows. I submitted a couple of messages to the Sinbreed FB site asking for clarification, and while my first message got a response from Flo, he merely answered my question with a question, asking what I thought the lyrics meant. Also, I have continued to follow Herbie on FB, and while I have never seen anything to indicate he is not a Christian anymore (please, no theology arguments about "once saved, always saved" Smile ), he has never said anything to share his faith either. Of course, a lot of the posts are in German and my German is sehr rostig (very rusty); so rusty that I don't even try to read the German posts.

It was sad when Seventh Avenue folded, as Herbie and the others wanted to pursue a secular path.  Only the drummer wanted it to remain Christian.

I've not purchased any of the Sinbreed albums as I was unsure whether they were Christian or not.

Musically they are excellent, some of the best power metal I've heard. Lyrically they are like most other secular bands; the songs are not about Christ (or at least not openly), so you have to decide for yourself if you are comfortable listening to them.

I'm not a huge fan of power metal (don't have any of their albums), but still hoping the new material is at least "Christian friendly".

I like the first album, but it isn't a big player for me.  I did not bother with the 2nd release after hearing samples.  I only liked a couple of Seventh Avenue albums.

I'm a huge Sinbreed fan !
I'm an even HUGER fan of Seventh Avenue !

I have 3 SA cds, and a sinbreed vinyl. I've been on the hunt for the other 3 SA albums. Very hard to find- and when I do find one, they're ridiculously priced.

I once had SA's Rainbowland but got rid of it (one of my more stupid moves, and why I never get rid of any music anymore), and I don't have the EP's, but I have all the rest.  Sinbreed is very good, and modern, but I really like SA's work.

I have all the SA cds, and tried hard to find the Children EP, which I missed out on by a couple of years.  They are a great band, and one of the few that have gotten better with every release.  Love the Goodbye EP for some reason, as it's mainly just the same song done in different ways!

I found RainbowLand and Goodbye on eBay today, both for $40 each with shipping. I couldn't pull the trigger for either of them though. That's just too much.
