| I used to be a big fan of Bride, but kinda lost it after the Fist Full Of Bees... Jesus Experience was pretty good. I'll give it a listen. I wish Dale would record something like Snakes In The Playground again. | |

In my opinion, he already has! "Scarecrow Messiah" was just a less polished version of that album and era. It may as well be Snakes Part 2 to me. Also, "This Is It" and "Skin For Skin" both captured the essence of "Snakes". I feel that he has done that album several times. Even with "Tsar Bomba", I feel they got close. "Incorruptible" has some of it, but it wasn't a heavy as some of the other similar releases. I wish that Dale and Troy could redo "Kinetic Faith" without so many overused guitar effects. Heck, I'd settle for a great remaster of that just to get the volume close to that of the others. I may have another project to do! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| The album in now out as I received my copy in the mail yesterday. It was autographed by Alan (1/2 of The World Will Burn). He is a Mission Of One fan! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| I like it, but it is a bit strange at times. Dale sounds as good as ever, but his lyrical style has changed. He had gotten very bold in his faith and delivery of such. Now, it is more subdued. I need to listen to it a couple more times before I really make up my mind, though.

He probably got tired of getting called a heretic on CMR and decided to go with more ambiguous/"safe" lyrics hahahahaha...

I couldn't blame him, really.

| I have always found Dale's lyrics to be pretty cryptic, which is part of what makes Bride songs so good. The words mean what you think they mean, and each person has a personal interpretation of the songs. I think he writes songs that make you THINK you can relate and that makes it seem like the song is talking directly to you. Of course every now and then he drops in a big statement that doesnt really fit in with most of his songwriting but its like he just wanted to make a statement. I havent found anything about the words in this to object to. They seem to be more about life in general but there are some strong christian lyrics dropped in at times. The thing I love about the CD is the originality of it. Super heavy but it doesnt sound like any other bands out right now, and I think that has to be hard to do. I am a sucker for big sounding guitar hooks and catchy melodies, and this CD has them. I dont find any weak songs, either. Usually I like 2 or 3 and just ignore the rest but I like every song on this and they are all pretty different. In all, I think this is Dales best work in a long time and think the sound he has found could really carry him to success in the future. | |
