| I was at Lifeway tonight and saw that the new Kutless album was out. Being on sale for only $7.99, I thought I'd take a chance. Seeing that I was buying enough stuff to get 30% with our rewards card and the CD ended up being $5.57, I was even more hopeful of what I would hear.
Kutless is still camping out in the worship arena. However, they have learned that their fans are used to them being a rock band first and a worship band second. So, they have brought BOTH to the table. The first song shows that they can be ever much a rock band as they ever were. The next 8 tracks go back and forth from more CCM pop to the rock we are used to. The final song also closes the album out heavy. All in all, the songs are probably 60% rockers, two that start off flowery but have a bit of edge in the choruses, and two definite slow songs.
All in all, this is maybe not their best album, but it is definitely more of what I'd want to hear from Kutless. We listened to the CD in the truck on the way home and both me and the wifey liked it. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

| That's good news for the rock fans of Kutless. Maybe the next album will be an album full with rock songs. I,m curious to listen to the samples. | |

| Except for one song, this is an album of original tunes. So, while a worship album, it isn't just regurgitated Passion and Hillsongs songs.
As for a full rock record, I think that this is the closest we will get. With their last album "Glory", they changed their description on their own website from "rock" to "rock/worship".
I don't really blame them for jumping on this bandwagon. The bands first two worship albums outsold everything else they've done. It seems that they are just responding to what the fans were voting for with sales. Walmart does it. Kroger's does it. I can see where a band might do the same.
