| Because I was ticked when I learned that I missed out on Rush's 40th Ann tour (and supposedly their last), when I heard IM was going to have some US dates (I think from Facebook newsfeed of all places) I decided I'd take my best friend since we don't get to hang out very often. This is significant for a few reasons: 1. I'm pretty sure this will be the first secular show I've seen since Rush in 97. 2. IM is what I indoctrinated him with back in college. Ironically, he had just posted to FB the morning before I bought tickets, "How did this Carpenters fan become a metalhead in college? I still can't figure it out 30 years hence" to which I responded, "Bad influences and peer pressure." A few hours later I added, "Speaking of which, make sure you get off early Apr 6 because that bad influence is taking you to see Iron Maiden." He was floored. 3. Once I thought back, I realized IM was one of several of my (former) favorite bands that I have never seen in concert.
Of course, I'm at a severe disadvantage since I've not kept up with any secular music for a LONG time so I won't know anything they play after the early 90s, but I expect I'll have a decent time despite the nosebleed seats. I really hope they don't have some lame opener - better yet, no opener at all would be great. _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| Hope you're not in for a disappointment but traditionally early in the tour Maiden s known for playing only new songs with maybe 3-4 classics. So you may see the new album in its entirety. | |

Telling us he's going to a concert is hardly tour promotion.

SINNER!!! For your insolence, you must say 20 "hail Mary's" (your wife will appreciate this) and put $20 in the Poor Box. My wallet is known as the Poor Box. I've bought the downloads to some old and new Def Leppard albums. We will burn together. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/

Wouldn't have considered it promotion, but I knew we have some IM fans here and we have discussed them (and other major secular acts) before in this forum. Would you prefer I move it to Warped Drive? _________________ "If you are not concerned about your neighbor's salvation, you should be concerned about your own."

| Sigh... They're not coming anywhere near me and tickets are soooooo expensive... I may try to find a way nonetheless. | |
