| Had to drop those names in the title because when I simply put the band name ACTION it seems to go unnoticed on other boards. Of course that could be because of the style/genre they play also (melodic AOR). I was a bit unsure whether to place this here or not because the band is NOT a "Christian band" with bold lyrics or anything like that. However the band has almost all Christian members who thank their "Lord and Savior" Jesus Christ in the thanks list. The band has former members of Mars Hill. And the cd was co-produced by Michael Sweet and Kenny Lewis. So, if you feel interested feel free to hear this melodic AOR band here: http://www.myspace.com/actiontheband They aren't not breaking any new ground (this sounds like it could have been recorded back in 1983!) and they aren't the very best in this genre by any means but I certainly have come to love the sound of ACTION and am proud to share their great music with other like minded music fans. | |

| While I do like the sound of this, I probably won't get it. Most of the songs seem like the singer is lamenting the loss of a girlfriend/wife. So, they might be Christians in the band, but I don't hear any message to it. This is just another secular band IMO. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |
