No shame in Dave Brubek Mike. Brilliant songwriter. And he was a believer before he died.

Speaking of ToP, the strangest thing I ever heard was when I was in a Taco Cabana late one night after a hockey game. After listening to the song on their speakers, I figured out what it was . . . a Tower of Power song being sung in Spanish

I don't know anything about Tower Of Power, but I know Huey Lewis & The News. Man, they were an awesome band! Sure, it was pop rock, but they had an original sound/voice combination with exceptional songs that moved you with great stories and big hooks. The musicianship was amazing. Huey Lewis was bad to the bone!

Tower Of Power backed Huey for a while.
I saw Huey last spring and it was awesome. He doesn't have ToP with him anymore but he has a horn section and the same sax player. They played all of Sports, which was amazing then played a ton of hits. No opening act so they played for probably a couple of hours. It was cool to hear "Walkin' On A Thin Line" live. Plus every other Huey song you can think of, they played it.

Strangest thing I ever heard was Amy Grant's "Baby Baby" in Chinese.

The song was ToP's Monster on a Leash or Monstruo con una Correa
