I would have to say the biggest disappoint for me this year was that "Taker - It is Finished" anthology that Roxx put out. The cd package itself is fine (Roxx did a good job with that), but nearly half of the material on the album is horrible in my opinion. The band did have some good songs, but the out-take recordings were really poor quality and the second EPs worth of material they recorded with a different singer I found so cringe-worthy I couldn't even listen to those songs repeatedly. Yeah, the demos were definitely weak. But to me they show how things changed from their original take to the final versions (which the band wasn't always pleased with based on their notes). And the other singer definitely did not fit the band's sound, IMOSHO.

| Wait, the Hostile to the Gospel wasn't 2014 was it ?? I thought it was end of 2013. If it's 2014, then that belongs on my absolute FAVS of this year ! | |

I thought it was end of 2013. If it's 2014, then that belongs on my absolute FAVS of this year ! It was available for release from the artist at the end of 2013, but the record label didn't release it until 2014. So IMHO it would be fair game for either year. I had it in my list for 2013, so left it out of the running for this year. _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

I've never even heard of King's Kaleidoscope, what kind of music do they play? _________________ "I used to be indecisive.......... Now I'm not sure."

I've never even heard of King's Kaleidoscope, what kind of music do they play? From the Mars Hill Church page. Kings Kaleidoscope is an indie rock worship band with roots at Mars Hill Church Ballard. Led by Chad Gardner, the band is made up of about a dozen musicians, including a string trio, a horns section, two drum kits, and definitely a cymbal or two.

| I still haven't done mine yet. I have yet to listen to the new Teramaze and would like to reserve my list until after I hear it. I hope I like it better than I did Harmony. _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

All in all, it adds up to a pretty good year.

| I've got Letter 7 - Trust coming for christmas, so I can't say how much I'll enjoy that, but the three standouts for me are...
Razorigami, Messenger and Disciple. At the moment Messenger is sneaking ahead for album of the year... _________________ My Christian Metal Website......... Silence Is Madness

| Here's mine:
1. SAINT - BROAD IS THE GATE 2. Letter 7 - Trust 3. Dean Berry - At the Crossroads 4. Rhett Walker Band - Here's To the Ones 5. Apologetix - Loaded 45s 6. Apologetix - Singles Group 7. Disciple - Attack 8. Chaotic Resemblance - Get The Hell Out 9. Seventh Day Slumber - We Are The Broken 10. Empire 21 - Empire 21 11. The Brave - Rise 12. Razorigami - Truths From Beyond The Machine 13. Sardis - Escape 14. GX Project - Sinner
I could list others that I bought this year but I would just be listing them. So, this year you get my top 14 instead of my top 15 or 20.
Other honorable mentions would be Relentless Flood, Flyleaf, Teramaze, and Saint's "Warriors Of The Son" 2014 remaster.
Musical turd category: Guardian - Almost Home (I have come to loathe this disc and will buy no future releases that are in this style from this band as it isn't what the fans really want. Stryper and Saint have both learned to give us what we want to keep selling music.) _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/
