Band others like.

We all have it bands others love, but you can't get come in.
Yoyr friends buy all their CDs, but you still don't like them.
You've tried to listen to them a couple of times, but no it's not your cup of tea.
What are bands others love and you can't get come in?

Gee whiz, there are lots of bands I don't like that others do. To be honest, if I post some of them here, I may get banned from the board!

But a few would be:

Stryper - I know, I know. I used to be a fan but I just can't get into them anymore.
Bride - never been a fan
Mortification - not so much here but at CMR these guys can do no wrong. Steve has an amazing testimony about his illness. The music is good, I just don't care for them.

There are several bands like this for me as well.  The first one probably should have gotten me band from this board several years ago.

Disciple - short of their first two albums I just can't get into anything from this band.
Bride - I dig their Snakes album and the two albums surrounding it, but that's about it.
Deliverance - tried really hard (more than once) to like this band and just cannot get into them at all.
Mortification - no....just no.
Tourniquet - I actually dig most of their acoustic album and few tracks from the Carry the Wounded, and Moth and Rust albums....but other than that just cannot get into them.

I can't get into Tourniquet that much, early Disciple, early Messiah Prophet, Mortification, the Crucified, etc.  I don't like some bands.  If it isn't what everyone else likes, that is okay.  They don't have to play my CDs anyway.

I don't think I've ever listened to any of the above bands...  Do I need to turn in my Christian Metal card?  (I've heard a couple songs along the road from a few of them but nothing that ever inspired me to listen to more.)  So you can add all those to my list!

Skillet.  I don't think they would bug me as much if people didn't act like they were the best band to ever pick up a guitar.

I like Skillet, but have to confess that I could easily pick 30 better bands myself.

Let me see, I'm not a fan of cookie monster bands.
I've tried to like Theocracy, but it didn't happen.
Most female fronted rock bands are not favorite either

Skillet became a "formula" band on the Comatose album and haven't been the same since. I still like them, but they're a more commercial band nowadays.

Yeah I loved Collide.  After that, they lost me.  The new one wasn't bad.

Theocracy, because I've never cared much for Euro-style power metal.
Stryper, possibly because their sound is too slick for me.
Tourniquet, because I don't have any of their stuff.
Mortification, although I was into Mort for a brief time when I kind of liked death metal.

I wanted to like Mortification, but I just could never get into them.
