| I'm somewhat excited for it. My mom can't stand Rex's voice, so I can't play it when she's around, but who doesn't love rock-n-roll from time to time? | |

| I got my notice from PayPal yesterday that mine had shipped. I should have it in a day or two! _________________ I might have decided, or maybe not, that I should or shouldn't, depending on the issue or non-issue, to possibly share or not share, any thoughts, opinions, or facts (that might not be deemed factual by some), due to possible fear of any misinterpretation or retribution. https://christianhardmusic.niceboard.com/ | |

| Is this supposed to be a Christian project? I got mine today and (so far) there's not a whiff of Christian anything on it. | |

| So far I have downloaded the first 5 tracks from iTunes and since I can't understand what Rex is singing I can't tell if it is Christian or not but it DOES rock! | |

| Sounds a lot like the last one but I am having trouble understanding what he is singing on some of the songs (again I have only downloaded the first 5 songs, will get to the rest later). | |

| I don't like it much. The music is decent, but Rex's vocals are just awful IMO. I thought maybe he was returning to a more clean style like Zion and the first two X-Sinner albums; but no, he insists on doing this awesomely-bad copycat of AC/DC's vocals instead. If he'd just sing like he's capable, this band would be amazing. But he utterly ruins it for me with his choice of vocal style. | |

I tend to agree, his vocals were better on the last one. The music on this is very good but I too have issues with the vocal range. | |

| HI-JACK ALERT - I got Fire it Up last year not knowing it was a rework of Peace Treaty. I like some of the lead work, but I always felt Peace Treaty was a very strong album. Why mess with it? Anyone have any opinions on it? | |

| They added some pieces so that they could use the music recorded with Pakaderm/Word. Word now owns the masters and wanted a hefty price to release them. So, they took what they had done, added parts and had it remastered. It's a little sneaky, but it is legally considered a new work this way. So, they had a few changes and called it something new. I didn't like it and got rid of that, but I did have the original release anyway.

| I dont have the original, only the Fire It Up Version. My huge complaint about it is it has a TERRIBLE tape hiss for a CD. I knew right then it was NOT re-recorded as I was lead to believe... Didn't even sound remastered. As for the guitar solos, I dont have the original so I can't compare the length of the solos. | |

| The solos are the same as the song lengths are exactly the same. The project was taken from the original tapes/CDs and then just had extra guitar parts recorded over those. Sometimes it is a few extra lead licks. Most of the time, it was just some added rhythm parts that, to me, took away from the original arrangements. When you are doing a "less is more" approach to rock, then adding things just seems wrong.
